Why, just why would you bug BBDev about a OS update? All we're going to see is the SDK Gold, which will be another 341 with more features accessible to devs, like full lockscreen preview, wifi direct, and miracast

Otherwise it'll still have no social connects, no photo app and all that jazz

Please don't be sending this kind of stuff to official BlackBerry channels, we've asked kindly in posts that people not contact their carriers and BlackBerry concerning these matters...

P.S. If you have looked at the BlackBerry developers site in the past three to four months you would have known about the next SDK

But then wouldn't we be able to slap on a different OS like 10.2.0.483 with working radio instead of 10.2.0.927 with non working radio?

Yes when the next gold sdk comes out, it'll be easily be used with the radio to make 663/783/810 and the others work.

I'm pretty sure that the 10.1.0.1485 release was 10.1 gold, and it still wasn't a full OS.

Well it does make sense. The next SDK should have the proper radio needed to make these OS's work 100%

Gold release doesn't mean full release, just means all features are fully implemented ,just tweaking to be done.

Don't expect to see this officially released till after October

I think BlackBerry Jam Asia is the perfect time to show off new hardware, aka A10, running BB 10.2, while going over the 10.3 SDK and hopefully launching 10.2 updates to carriers.

Obviously some carriers will stall and delay the updates but I'd love to see 10.2 come out near the end of September or very early October at the latest. I see no reason at all to wait until November to launch 10.2. Now I'm just discussing countries that come out with OS updates in a reasonable fashion, I'm sure the US carriers will be taking their sweet time with the 10.2 update.

Besides the US, where updates have been a complete joke, the updates for BB10 have been quite regular and even speedy.

    10.0.9.348 - Launch OS (January 30 - February 5)

    10.0.10.85 - March 1

    10.1.0.273 - May 14

    10.1.0.2014 - June

10.1 MR - Mid summer (Should be hitting very soon, my guess end of July/early August

So with an update schedule like this I see no reason why 10.2 wouldn't be released before the end of October at the very latest. It just doesn't make sense since BlackBerry has been releasing updates on too regular of a basis for that large of a gap to happen.

Mind if I ask how you found this?

Not doubting, just wondering if this is on the BlackBerry site somewhere or is it carriers?

The only known whitelisted build is 4537 for LIME Jamaica and Barbados (???) for STL100-1. You can check it in Sachesi. With little tricking you can create the URL for other models. Or use Darcy's topic for downloading, in this section. However you can find newer version on production server too.

For sometime now. BB posts a roadmap of the SDK updates and a timeframe of when they are to be released.

    https://developer.blackberry.com/cas...nload/roadmap/

Also with each OS update, there can be a SDK update. I have 10.1.0.1720 on my 10.1 development tool but I could use a later version. It also gives some details into the different releases.

I have the Sachesi tool, just not the time to search for the releases. Lots of countries and carriers out there...
