Looks like at the moment that the next iteration of BB10 will be 10.2.2 and not the commonly quoted 10.3. Excited to see what this will bring.

Next OS version spotted - 10.2.2.xxxx-img_20140204_221727_edit.png

Nice. Waiting to see all the new goodies in 10.3. That's where the candy is! Though I would settle for the new BBM. But ask me again in 2 weeks after I have the new BBM.

If they're going to to a 10.2.2, it should be in the next few months. The minor updates aren't going to help them win market share, it's the big features that are going to sell.

Honestly BlackBerry is moving at an incredible pace, this new build must have those camera features. We will see what happens, maybe a leak soon.

Agree 110%. They need to give us those camera features that we keep getting promised lol.

The multi-facial recognition and panorama will be a bigger seller.

...and maybe a commercial or two to show off the new features that the majority of consumers have no idea about.

Edit: Sorry, that could have sounded snippy. I'm excited to see the OS evolving as quickly as it is. I just wish others (not members of this or other similar communities) were just as excited.

wow this is promising! and with now we have the 10.2.1 onboard, we shouldn't have to worry as when the 10.2.2 drops out then our phones will just update by themselves and will prompt us for a reboot, nice!

Updates will still be carrier dependent...although this last launch of 10.2.1 was as close to a true global launch as i've seen outside of Apple.

No commercial needed. Why market them when the competition had it for a year or two now. It would be BlackBerry marketing that they are late to the party and the OS is outdated.

If anything, BlackBerry need a spot to simply say that they are alive with a new vision.

Hard to disagree with you on that. BlackBerry actually needs to be out of the spotlight for a bit. For the most part, they are already doing this. Keep working hard at updates, maybe pick up some partners and then market with purpose.

    That will come.

An interesting side note: my employer has distributed a number of Z10s and Q10s throughout the company, including to a few people in my office. One of the managers here was given a Q10, though he still makes heavy use of his iPhone. I sent this manager a link to the CB guide on how to get the Amazon App Store working after 10.2.1 dropped, and he e-mailed me the next day in amazement at how easy the native APK install process is, and his surprise that BB isn't making a big deal out of it.

There was never a 100% bug-free software, and neither will there ever be. Having said that, we still don't know what you mean by "I couldn't download native Apps let alone Apks". If you care to elaborate, you will most likely get some help.

I don't think BlackBerry could make a big deal out of it. The third party stores are not BlackBerry approved and the act of side loading isn't necessarily a capability that BlackBerry wants to brag about either.

From a user it's great, but from a company perspective, it really something that they shouldn't talk about.

Yes I Know that there are bugs but this update drove me crazy so I Reloaded the old OS. What I mean to say is that when I Download Apps from The appworld they give an error saying "Error installing application"

Which is what you probably needed in the first place, reload 10.2.1.1925 with an autoloader. And you should have been good to go

Probably, but you shouldn't have to reload the OS after an OTA update. I agree though, a reload would have fixed it.
