I'm not sure where to go from here Since updating yesterday to the newest Link version "b39", I can not sync my Passport calendar with Outlook 2007 desktop calendar. It worked great on previous versions but this update will not work. I got a copy of the "b29" previous version but whatever changed with the update, won't allow the older version to sync either. It worked perfectly prior to the update yesterday. I've uninstalled it, cleaned and rebooted the pc and device, reloaded the Link versions and all it says Sync was unsuccessful due to: "unable to process organizer data"! I saw this once before about a year ago but I thought they had fixed. I know that Outlook 2007 is older but its dependable and I don't want to upgrade just for this, and since hundreds of thousands of people still use 2007, I would think there is a work-around for this. I need this option as I use both my PC and my Passport for my business. Any help is much, much appreciated!!

PS: I posted this on the Link Forum but no one answered and since this forum is my home, I hope someone on here will be of help.

I don't know if uninstalling it, deleting the folder if it leaves one and searching the registry for BlackBerry and deleting them would help or not. I'm not sure if the registry would have anything else called link or blend to search for that might belong to something else other than BlackBerry. If you do just make sure to backup the registry first.

Sync with localPC-Outlook is crap from past century. Always it was crappy and buggy solution.
Will be good to shift self to this century.

Are you saying that you sync to your old Outlook 2007 via a cable connection to your PC??

Yes, using Link. I sync my outlook 2007 calendar with my Passport bblink calendar. Worked great until the last update. Now it won't sync. Says it's unable to read organizer data.

Crazz, it isn't always better just because it's new. Some of us legally CAN'T use cloud based sync due to HIPPA laws. Just because it would be easier for me doesn't give me permission to violate patient privacy by letting Microsoft (or Google, etc) see personal information during the sync. If you read the TOS, all of the cloud services analyze everything for them to share with various companies to "provide products and services we think you'll find interesting" or similar language. Ignoring the law, no one in my contacts list gave me permission to share their name, address, birthday, etc with anyone.

Not trying to be tech phobic, I'm actually an early adopter of new technology as a life long interest. But I always read TOS before I install anything. A huge market exists to take advantage of the lazy people that just hit accept. Several studies have proven that people will even accept TOS that require them to do outlandish things like rename their children or even sell them into slavery! Obviously the people doing the study don't try to enforce it, but they DO tell the idiots what they signed after study is over...

I'd go with the 1st recommendation up there: Uninstall the whole thing incl removing all BlackBerry and RIM folders, and then reinstall. Don't know anything about Outlook 2007, but both the previous and the latest versions of Link worked perfectly with 2010 on my Win7 machine, and both had and have problems with Outlook 2013 on my W8.1 tablet, but eventually they're all working somehow. Good luck!

I've got this same problem...I can no longer sync my contacts and calendar info from my Z10 to Outlook 2007. In my case, the problem started after the installation of 10.3.2.556 (forced by VZW) rather than a Link update. When I try to sync, I'm told that several contacts were updated in Outlook (when there were more that should have updated also), and that there were no calendar entries to sync (when there were many new Z10 ones that should have been added to the Outlook calendar).

"Computer Data Sync app" which was recommended above is no longer listed in BB World.

Any other recommendations besides buying Outlook 2013, since many people have reported that doesn't work at all with Link?

For any update of OS or Link, reset your Link synchronisation for Contact and Calendar and set it up again worked for me every time.

FWIW, Link "B59" on my Vista laptop syncs my Z10 and Outlook 2007 calendars without problem. (B39 worked OK, too.)

Make sure you backup. If your outlook is up to date, delete contacts folder and calendar from phone. Then resync back to phone. Just make sure you reset settings and then have it sync to device only one-way.
