Alright strange question from someone who is NOT a newbie (YES, slightly embarrassing) . I keep hearing about Android runtime?? I know it has something to do with compatibility and android apps? Is it in this new leak? If not, where do I go for it? And do I really need it?

I've never installed the 10.2.1 leak. This might be my time to do it.

If you had 10.2.1 you already have the ability to install android apps directly without the need to convert them to bar.

Not sure if somebody posted this issue but I am gonna post it here anyway. I loaded up the leak, and before I did my usual restore from link, I loaded up Snap and installed all my android apps. After that I did my restore thinking my Android apps settings would restore like usual. After restore and boot up, None of the Android apps were on my phone and all the apk were gone as well. I went to BBworld to update my native apps, and my installer was out of whack. Apps will download but installer will not install. After many reboots I was able to install each app individually. Then tried loading android apps through snap and the installer will not install. Have to reboot and go thru file manager to install from the apk direct. Have to reboot and install the next one. Takes 10 min to install an app. Moral of the story, load Android apps AFTER restore.

I had the same issue with Snap and installing apk's through file manager however everything seems to have worked itself out after a little while. Everything else in this OS is definitely snappier then 1055.

It was the same with 1055, restoring after installing of APKs doesn't play nice together. Not like with the old sideloading of BARs

i found that you can pinch to zoom in videos now

and i also (not sure if its new) by you can enable repeat on videos and you have the option for close captioning and rename videos and photos from the properties (also not sure if new)

and now in pictures you can manage photos (ie: move them into folders)
All that you can do in 1055.

Installed this leak 3 hours ago (Z10) and haven't experienced any problems so far. My Z10 seems to run a bit faster but that could just be my imagination (runnin away with me). All applications updated with out any issues. So far everything is working well.

FYI here's what I did to upgrade.
    • Back up data
    • Install the new OS.
    • Restore data.
    • Update exsiting applications.

I didn't wipe the Z10 as I've done before. There's a bit of battery drain but that's expected from a new OS install.

So far so good. Thanks to whom ever gave us this leak (Said no plumber ever).

If you know how to sideload with the Google Chrome Playbook extension load Snap it's a sticky post in this forum. It will allow you to directly download apks. There are also places like Amazon app store or 1mobile. Try Snap first though it's really a all in one solution.

Installed from scratch no restore on z30 all good except two bugs
    - cannot set default wallpaper, says invalid format
    - keep getting tutorial popup telling email is on left when I go back to home screen.

I used to be able to unusually help and tutorial apps, I cannot seem to do that with leak...

BUT: Rdio working directly from snap android store so I cannot complain much

Snap only works if you have an Android device tied to your Google Device. If not, you're better off with the Amazon Store.
