I am having an issue with sending invitations for calendar events. I have had this issue since moving to 10.1 and higher. I create the event, add the participants and when I hit save I get a message "No associated email account"
I have tried associating the email and it never saves it. I select it and when I go back it is listed as none.

Need help with calendar appointments, running 10.2.0.1323-img_00000135.jpg

I have also gone through the settings and it will also not save the email account.

I am not using the local calendar or contacts. I am using the BB Link calendar and contacts so I can keep them synced on my computer. Any thoughts of how to solve this would be appreciated.

I have searched and searched for answers for this and I have not found any.

Syncing to Outlook 2010 on Windows 7. Saves and transfers back and forth through BB Link. I just cannot send the invites from my phone.

Are you just using the outlook as a local calendar on the computer or does it sync with something from there?

I have had problems revolving outlook sync. My solution for customers has been to set up an outlook.com (or other) exchange server and use that to sync both desktop and mobile.

Outlook is just a local calendar on one PC.

I did a test appointment through the local calendar and it worked just fine after a assigned my email to the local calendar. The only problem is that the local calendar will not sync with my pc.

The biggest problem would be getting everything to sync with my wife's phone. She uses the pc and also has two laptops. One running Vista with Outlook 2007 and the other is running Windows 8 with 365 on it. Not sure I will even tell her it a possibility to link them all.

I am still wondering why BB decided to make it so difficult and add a local calendar and contacts list. Never had this problem with the legacy devices. This is why I left Android devices.

It's a pita don't get me wrong. If you set up an outlook.com account first. Go to this site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2735989
To set it up on the computer.

When I did it I didn't do it this way, but I had to import the outlook data to outlook.com. It's in options somewhere, export to csv. Go to outlook.com and import.

After testing the sync from your desktop to the cloud take care of the phone. Go to add an account, click advanced.

Here are the server settings for me anyway :

In the past I have had to put in m.hotmail.com only as the address.

It should work fine with 2 pcs. Make sure that you enter all information on the outlook.com tab of the desktop rather than the local one.

Hope this helps. It's a little work but it does it's job well... unless MS goes down.

Fair enough. Honestly the EAS setup is so much easier and you can sync anywhere. But to each their own. Hope it gets fixed up soon.

I have not been able to assign an email address to bblink calendar from the very beginning. Frustrating as local calendar doesn't sync with PC. Running 10.1
