Several days out and all is better then ever.. Battery life is great but no better then 2228 it seems. Still have some settling in to
do but all looks and acts solid. 2228 & 2234 for sure the best versions ever for me.. Big thanks to all involved.. Love it when things
go right. This z10 of mine is finally the phone I wanted to purchase from the get go. Patience finally paid off.

Looks like you missed something. I updated the same way as you, and my Release shows 2160, and my radio shows correct 2235

Are you sure you included the OS and Radio files?

I used "download all" on Sachesi, but maybe it didn't all come down. It was my first time trying to install with Sachesi so possibly I did something wrong. I ended up using the autoloader to install and it's fine now.

Agreed! 2235 a better upgrade and the battery life, once settled in, is very good. Everything is snappier, especially the web. Since 10.3 was leaked today and it is truly a beta version with a lot of bugs that will be worked out over the next couple of months, this is great that we were able to get the 2235 OS prior to the work on 10.3. Thanks again Toobs, Thurask and all who helped here.

Yep, the first time I downloaded it, Sachsi didn't get all of it as well. 2nd time it did. I'll start doing a d/l file count from now on before upgrading. Glad to see I wasn't the only one with that flaw.

Glad to hear it wasn't something I did wrong. Curious, how will you know what the correct file count should be to check it against after you download with Sachesi?

You won't unless you do two downloads and count both. Odds you getting it wrong twice is rare. I would rather take my time and do that rather then have to figure out what's screwed with my OS. Maybe someone will read this that knows a better way to tell on a non-destructive download that you did get all of it. This issue has to be rare but us both getting the same result shows that it can happen. I guess with hundreds of downloads or perhaps thousands at the same time makes it more likely. If you wait too long though you may miss the update if they pull it. That has happened too. Guess you better keep your finger on the pulse of Crackberry and.be as close to the front as you can. ;-)

Only other choice I guess is to just auto-load or download it and use Dancy's tools and extract it.

Yes, this OS seems to be the best yet.. Notice how this thread has few complaints about the OS in it.
Not the issue with the ones that ran over and loaded 10.3... lol Noticed quite a few are wishing they
hadn't and going back to 2228 or 2234. When the version number is lower then 1000 you don't
want even try it unless its on a test phone. For everyday use you will run into too many bugs if
you are a power user. Not to mention the water markings. Some have to give it a shot because
they always want the latest. Besides, there was not hardly anything new in it. The red skin,
pan camera and flat iphone look.. Come on.. Oh, well thats what makes the world burn..

Now as for 2228 & 2234 this is what I was looking for when I bought my phone. Battery
life now is super. I go 2 days without a charge and have never been able to do that.
Even with the stock 10.0 OS that was on the phone when I bought it. The shadowed
icons give the home screen class and a sort of 3d effect. The Android run time is working
great. Better then ever. I don't run a lot of Android stuff anyway because of spyware issues
but there is a lot of good free stuff that doesn't have that issue. Most of the stuff I use
that's Android is system support stuff. I am not a Gammer so no need for that. I am just
loving 2234 but can't find a lot different over 2228 other then just bug fixes with 2228. That
has to be a good thing. I think I will stick right here for now unless another 10.2 comes out
with more fixes. I think the days of me looking for a great working OS for my z10 is close
to over. Besides, if Blackberry keeps adding more to OS 10 the phone will be short on
overhead memory as it seems the 10.3 users can't even load the camera without a memory
error. To get enough memory you have to delete apps or reboot the phone.. No brainer there.
Yep, all is looking good here on 2234.. I think my z10 has finally found a new home..

Ahhh.. Yes it does.. Thanks.. I just added the Face Recognition Camera too after hearing the Clock worked and it works as well.. If any one needs the docs and links for both I will post them. By the way this is on the z10-STL 2,3 & 4..

I have bad experience with 2234 when I reset (pressing power button till red led appears), I was stuck at blue BB logo.

I reset mine 2 or 3 times a day never had that issue. Maybe you had an error in your OS load or something. Haven't heard of anyone else with that issue too.. Humm strange..
