    Thanks for the steps.
Only thing I disagree with is to restore the backup.
I like a cleaner install and with 1055 i think work better that way!

Restoring from BlackBerry Link just APP data is ok. But with Setting is disaster

It isn't always Okay. I personally don't restore at all due to bad experience in the past. Media backup is the only restore you can count on most times.

How long does it take for the OS install to work? Mine loaded everything on the phone and has been on the blue/purple BB logo for about 30 min

Using the last 2 version of BB link didn't give me any problem with restore. So I guess it's safe now to do a complete restore.

    Thanks, should be stickied.

Re: restores, I rarely have issues with them.

And they better work, because the VAST majority of customers in the world should not have to put up with a system that requires them to lose all their data just to do an OS upgrade. That's absurd.

I've been doing the "sachesi" since my carrier won't upgrade BlackBerry 10 OS (bunch of idiots they are) as of many months ago.

So I first had 10.2.0.1803 from Vodafone Germany in November, and now I am in 10.2.1.1925 from XL Axiata Indonesia. Both were downloaded (non destructively, no side loading nor device wipe needed either) via Sachesi 1.1.2 with no issues during and after download/installation, other than having to wait a little over 3 hours on download.

I use Mac, by the way.

Don't intend to sabotage your thread, OP. Your solution for alternative, non-OTA BB10 update is well taken by me and may even try it when a new BB10 OS version arrives.

All I'm saying is that as an alternative to OTA downloading, especially for those who do not have their carriers updating BB10 OS, AND like me use Mac, Sachesi 1.1.2 is also a nice and perfectly safe way to go.

Peace to all and enjoy 10.2.1 !!
