Just figured this out this (minor) glitch/bug today.

RFA works for me, generally has going back as far as 10.0.xx.yy.

On the 10.2 leak, if I establish an RFA connection over my WiFi network at home, then leave the range of that WiFi network, and transition to a mobil network, both machines I have configured for remote access will appear as both being "off line".

To re-establish RFA to these machines, one apparently has to "reboot" the mobil network, by toggling airplane mode on and off. At least this is what works for me reliably.

Now, going the OTHER way doesn't give this problem. If I go FROM a cell network into range of my WiFi network, all remains OK. It's only when you LEAVE the WiFi network.

Just thought I'd share this observation.

This issue is consistent with all of the other problems related to network connections and the radio in general. Issues with Wi-Fi, switching to mobile network, using more than one Bluetooth device with an audio sink simultaneously, hotspot problems, etc. all revolve around the same components of the OS, radio and/or network stack in the OS.

Yep. There are some things going on in the stack. I found a bluetooth Bar in the latest 10.2 OS, but none earlier. I also noticed that my BT HRMs which use serial port profile and BT 4.0 Smart (low energy) respectively either are not seen by the Z-10 or fail to connect. Previously, they would connect, pair and show no services available. BB's BT team wrote a program for BT HRMs that worked in all previous 10.0 and 10.1 iterations. It is dead in the water in 10.2.

The odd behavior of wifi swithing on and off and wifi calling others are seeing tells me that the programming team is having a much harder time with OS 10 than legacy BB OSes. My long history tells me that by the time an OS gets to about 1006 - 1026 its in fairly good shape. At least antennas are usually done by these builds.
