    Wrong.

I was able to restore all android game data. The backup was from 10.3.0.140. Search has let me down, albeit it was a small search. I can't find the exact 10.2.1 Os build where it happened BUT, If you're using a late version of 10.2.1 chances are your backup will backup and write the android game data
    Edit: It was 10.2.1.375

I downloaded the Android version of Super Hexagon (bought legally via Humble Bundle; it comes along with Windows version) and did a comparison with the BB10 version (which I also bought way back). They're so similar and so smooth... makes we wonder if all Android apps in the future could run on par with Native :-O

That would be great for now especially since sharing is better.

But I hope BlackBerry native app development doesnt slow down either.

    Hey,

Thanks for confirming, yes I do have 10.2.1.3175 version. I was able to restore my android games progress level on it. I guess doing the full backup, install this leak and then full restoration will work.

    Can anyone else confirm?

    Lawguyman,

How did you install the run time from sdk? Did you delete .296s run time then side load or just side load?

I simply extracted the two android files from the SDK OS with Darcy's tools, put my device in development mode, and side loaded the two files with Sachesi.

    Simple.

You have a messed up OS buddy, sorry. Usually that happens from restoring applications from BlackBerry Link. To fix that reload everything again and don't restore the applications, it worked for me.

To make things easier on you, store your android applications in a folder or make a list of what applications is from where (snap, amazon 1 market...etc) and when restoring you BlackBerry World applications use the web browser on your computer to remotely install it on your phone, hope that helps.

The Android runtime is really very, very improved.

So far,of the apps I have tried, the only apps that don't work are the ones that rely on Google Services. This is major.

Also, performance is now on par with a real Android device. I compared load times of a few apps that had issues in the past with a Nexus 4. It is now a toss up which is faster. This is a significant improvement.

There are still a few issues in some apps. For example, although the new CNN app is super fast, I can't log in to watch live TV. Video works though. This is a nice app by the way, check it out.

Although Minecraft works, I still can't visibly save a world, although I can still manually enter the name.

I'm hoping that these few remaining issues get worked out in the next few months.

The runtime has come a long way from the PlayBook days.

Thanks. I had a feeling I'd need to reload. Didn't think about using BlackBerry World on the Web to install apps. That should save some time. I'll update once I've reinstalled in case others have similar problen
