Must say love the Blackberry personal assistant app on 10.3.0.1154

Much better than earlier versions and is very accurate in picking up instructions

Blasphemy LOL. I do get what you're saying and fully agree: BlackBerry Personal Assistant rocks on 10.3. But pleeeeze OP, don't call it Siri.

IOS8 is a major improved on old SIRI and with facility to now send voice clips on text messages via SIRI prob gets the edge

But I do like the BlackBerry version also.

You mean Imessage, I assume. Apple uses a combined entity for text (SMS) and instant messaging. BlackBerry does not combine the two as you know. The similar ability to send voicenotes is currently within BBM.

Correct. But to send a voice message you need to click SIRI option within IOS messaging app

Love Assistant. Anyone try to create a Task with the ability to affect the 'due date' toggle, via Assistant? It will create a new Remember entry with a reminder, but I have been unable to affect the due date toggle via Assistant.

What do you mean a due date? Do you mean when the reminder should go off? What should I ask BlackBerry Assistant?

When you manually add a task or reminder to the Remember app, there are two toggles, one for duendate and one for a reminder notification. When I set a reminder or task (same thing to Assistant) by voice, I can tell it what time to remind me, but I cannot set the due date. (Why do I want this? Tasks with due dates show in the calendar. If the due date toggle is not set to on, that task will not appear in the calendar, but only in the Remember app.)

I like it. It's really handy for getting things done and I'm very impressed with the voice recognition, it understands everything I say(with my Caribbean accent). It has a tendency to shuffle my music when I instruct it to play certain songs although it understood correctly what I said and it doesn't seem to be able to set timers but I guess all these things are to be expected with an unofficial release.
    So far so good.

Playing with it today, started a comparison with Google Search (Galaxy S4) and it held it's own pretty well considering its a leaked version. I can only hope the official release will help with the bit of lag we experienced in our "testing". In location searches, Assistant even worked better that n Google search for finding locations. Light years ahead of the last interactive voice search we had.

I am pretty new to blackberry, I'm wondering how to start and use the Asssistant? I can't seem to find it on my Q10. Do you need to be on the BES to use it?

    Thanks

Also do you guys know how to reinstall the text messaging/ Sms app that came on the phone originally? I deleted mine on accident the first day I got my phone. It works fine with the hub but just can't access the icon app of the messages so i can delete them and manage them better.

Thanks, I couldn't post a new thread. Didn't figure it out yet lol
