upgraded to the latest leak last night and and i lost more than half of my contacts (have around 30 left) what gives?? i clearly DID a full backup with blackberry link so it should all be there but where are they? i tried to restore "settings" only today and it did nothing and my "application data" is around 6.7GB so im not waiting 2 hours to restore that again...

anyone have a solution ?? really important i need all my numbers back

Solution is to make sure your contacts are synced up properly using BlackBerry Link settings and also syncing with your standard email account. Its been kind of a nightmare, but I pretty much have it down now

For future reference, I'd advice a third-party contact backup app like Contact-X. I load darn-near every leak that drops and this has given me the best results. Just prior to updating, I back up my contacts to the memory card and then perform the update. As soon as I'm finished updating, I connect to App World and download Contact-X and perform a restore. I do the same for my text messages using SMS Backup.

Just went back to original 10.2.0.... from 10.2.1.1259.
It kept screwing up my contacts list and randomly merged different contacts (besides several other issues)
    Reliability is essential for me...

That's probably why it's not an official release from BlackBerry...
It's a leaked (not even a beta). You (like me) installed on our own risk. Doesn't work properly? Hey big deal. Take your loss and go back to what does work. No need to blame'n'shame...

Roll back to your official OS, restore from your backup from the official build, all contacts will be back.

Backup your contacts to sim card or using third party app (like Contacts X). Reflash, install leak, restore contacts from sim or third party. Viola.

ALWAYS, always, remove sim card and SD card before doing the leak.
