Bedside mode should increase battery drain since it keeps the screen ON.

I agree. Use a flip shell case or a leather pocket pouch from BlackBerry with power-saving technology.

I thought so too, that's why I was asking for clarification. The holsters that automatically turn the screen off, do they really give a battery boost, or its the same as turning off the screen manually?

Battery back-up increased after installing 1925 but not that much which iwant..max 5 hrs
And my usage : some gaming, heavy WA, heavy BBM, mailing...

    30% brightness
    1 hour sync

I think BlackBerry should improve battery back up minimum 7 hrs with this uses.. other os, devices support 8-10 hrs with heavy uses..

    Feel the blanks BlackBerry!!!

I think it's not the same. The holsters shut off the screen, swiping does nothing. On turning the display off, the display goes black but it's still on, waiting for a 'swipe to wake' command. You can test the power saving technology of the flip shell case/leather pocket pouch by simply putting your device on top of the case. The screen will turn off and you cannot swipe to wake it up.

Wi-Fi can drastically improve your battery life as your data doesn't rely on your carrier network to sync. Anyway, since I don't use much email, I make it sync once a day.

I'm already on my third day with the leak. I don't really see much of an improvement yet. I even changed my sync settings for email, twitter and Facebook hoping for a battery boost. If I plug out at 100%, after taking a bath it's already 96% doing nothing. How do you guys know if the OS has 'settled'?

Posted via my Z10 STL100-2 running OS 10.2.1.1925
fyi, I have 1 outlook.com account and one exchange account both set to push. Facebook also. I noticed mine having settled after 3 days. Device manager didn't really show anything different. Battery life just got better overall,

Less battery life on Z10 using .1925-img_20140105_115019.png

Well my personal experience is bedside mode has always stopped my battery from dying and look, this screen shot shows how much longer the battery lasted since it was put in bedside mode this morning, after an initial dip

I've currently turned off the swipe to wake command in settings, so I have to press the power button to turn the screen on. So is this the same as using a holster? Because if the battery saving holster really does make a difference, I wouldn't mind getting one.

Q10 also doesn't have great battery life. Along with my core mic not working for voicenotes or bbm video. Where it works for calls and Skype.

My Z10 took about a week to settle in. Pulled the battery twice. Seems really good now. Be patient...
