Battery post. I've always used Battery Guru to keep an eye on what's happening with my Z10. Primarily I look at Power and Temperature. With previous 10.1 and even 10.2.0 releases, my Z10 would "idle" at around -0.06 watts. I'm noticing with 10.2.1.2141, it never drops below -0.10 watts. This might be a small thing (although it is nearly twice as high), but it seems to be having an impact on my battery life.

I know the general consensus is that battery life is longer, and that may be the case, but I wonder if anyone else has paid attention to what's happening when the phone is simply waiting for activity.

With OS 10.2.1 apps can be headless. It's possible one of your apps is running in headless mode now.

Understood. And I do normally have Hub++ running headless. But I shut it down in an attempt to compare "apples to apples." But maybe thinks like Blaq and other apps that are idle 99% of the time do still have some impact.

I haven't used Hub++. You may need to remove it completely to compare.

That said, after having this OS running for a while now I'm not so sure the battery life is that much better either. I was sure I noticed a difference at first but now I seem to need a charge on my Z10 by 3-4pm (about 8-10 hours) which is about what I was getting before.

I'm finding that my battery life is significantly better than it was on .1925. Admittedly, since I start from scratch on my installs, I have a few less apps now. And Data Usage Counter is now running headless which helps a bit. One thing to check might be how many android apps are running in the background. I find that several tend to start on their own whether or not I've used them since the last reboot.

Yeah I just read somewhere else that security wipe can fix battery issue I upgraded to 2141 from 10.1 through sachesi and everything is awesome except battery life, so I think i am going to try a wipe

I used Device Monitor to make sure nothing "unexpected" was running in the background. So I really think 2141 just pulls a little more power in idle mode.

I created an instructional post here with a list of the settings to use for each device to do this Sachesi load.

I noticed in the OP that there's a full autoloader for the Z10 and a separate one for the radio file. Does the full autoloader include the radio also, or do I have to load it separately once I install the OS and boot it?

The full autoloader includes the radio file, the seperate radio file is for those who want to update the radio only for whatever reason.

Ah, thanks for your prompt response. Loading it up on my spare Z10 now. I refuse to put leaks on my Z30. I'm scared to ruin the thing.

There is no difference with the leaks. The only difference is the method of loading. This OS is available in an autoloader too. No difference. This method is just easier.
