I get the two pop ups for missed call and new voice mail, but that's it. It doesn't show anywhere else

For this OS update, does the toast popup occur when the wallpaper is changed? I went back to 10.2.1.200 from 10.2.1.537 because I could not get rid of that annoying popup.

At least you get the notification in the hub, I can't even get that. I used the autoloader for the z30

    That didn't do it:

I also check the Hub management to make sure it wasn't turned off or something like that and it wasn't there either.

I did a Sachesi non-destructive upgrade as well.

I reset my Hub and Visual Voice mail showed up in Hub Management finally, and it was set to Hub only. Once I set it back to both it showed back up.

I seem to remember setting a lot of these to Hub only so the didn't show up as folders/accounts in navigation if they didn't have anything in them. Apparently they changed things so the folder/accounts doesn't show up at all even if there are items in it and you have it set to Hub only.

My vvm never shows up under "Notifications". It's only in the vvm folder.
To clarify, yes I have mine set to both and I do get the messages in the hub view too.

Glad to hear a simple hub reset fixed this. Was hoping it wasn't going to be a widespread bug. Voicemail is always a crap shoot with OS upgrades.

    Z10 or 30?
my only complaint with latest, 1925 was the reduced battery life.
I also see random android apps keep running even though I never started them.

Successfully updated non-destructive via sachesi using Superfly_FR's instructions (see link in above post)
I used sachesi lookup and downloaded all. Then deleted the clock and camera bars from the folder to keep my Porsche clock and face focus. Then used sachesi install folder option.
The update process and long restart took about 1hour 20 min. No problems at all.

Beautiful! I was thinking of writing something like this after I finally figured it all out, but no need. Your write up is well done.

The trick is finding a carrier with your variant. It is usually the case that the Q10/Q5 OS's are the same so you can use any variant. Z10 -2,3, & 4 are the same so find any of those variants. The Z30 variants appear to use the same OS's so any variant should do.

    Is that correct?

I used the above method to download a Q10 -2 OS to load to my -3. All seemed to work fine.

Because the original package was a Z30 loader and then the appropriate radio loader. After all the full loaders went live the radios stayed there.

I think. I haven't been paying attention for a while lol.

Now frankensteining is that a real terminology we can put into the books for how to.

Yeah but it's gotta be a beyotch typing that on the vkb. Gotta make sure the vkb puts that in its prediction list.

Did you sideload previous clock bar for the Porche clock ?

Does anyone know if by loading the 154 bars with Sachesi you get around the "Frankensteined" OS issue, or do you still have to side load the new apps?
I wonder whether those 26 bars are updated when loading the 154 or so bars via Sachesi as opposed to loading the two large bars, in which case you end up with the Frankensteined OS. Only by checking the version numbers of those updated app bars will we know for sure.

Whenever you load all the BARs, ie all the bars extracted from the Debrick file, or downloaded directly using the "Upgrade" option in Sachesi - it will replace any existing older versions with new ones.

That actually is the case with any BB10 app that you sideload: it will replace any earlier version when you sideload a later version.

Why not come with a change log??

Much of this was released by the community, not by BlackBerry themselves. And Blackberry isn't too good with documentation in general.

So we "crowdsource" a lot of info for people. That is what I am doing in the thread linked below:

Can we please stop using Mega as a file hosting service? Or at least if you insist on using it, send up a torrent too? This waiting for several hours to download these files is ridiculous. Hell, send me the files directly, I'll host the torrent and and set up direct download access. Anything to keep these downloads faster than a dead slug in the hammer lane...
