Never restored from backup always wipe. Office sync is 90 days and I have deleted twitter and gmail account. PIM still running at 40%+ which completely ridiculous consider I only have one account running. Anyways if you have the link for the official release I would like to wipe and upload official OS to see if Z30 can really run for 6+ hours.

This is a joke right? My zed 30 gets on average 20 hours between charges. Moderate to heavy use.

I can only get that performance after a fresh wipe and only for the first week or so. After that it's back to 6 hours. This is the second Z30 device and the same problems.

I'm very impressed by this leak. My Device Monitory battery graph very nearly flatlines during standby, the flattest I've ever seen.

Also, apps open so fast on this release. I wonder if they are caching more than before. It used to be that if I opened an app like LinkedIn or SoundHound, then closed it, then went back later, it was like a cold start again. Now it's practically instantaneous. Same with the Phone app. It performs much better now, as a key function of a "phone" should. :-)

    Thanks for the headsup...

Whilst I had up to 31 hours with 1055, I still get a satisfactory amount of hours with this version. I am now upwards of 24 hours between charge. Though not as substantial as the one before, but I understand this after all is a leak (not yet officially released), so its my choice to have this leak and as such i can't complain too much about the battery.

If infact i am not totally satisfied, I can always just go back to the official release and await the completion / release of this from BlackBerry which I am confident will have ironed out most (if not all) the issues being identified in these threads.

    Rock on team BB.
Here are some screen shots for your review. Not sure what's going on with the device?

Did anyone bother to do a security wipe after installing? I was contemplating trying this leak without doing one. Would love any feed back.

Security wipe is before, not after.. that if you doesn't want previous settings interfere your new OS or if previous settings have some bugs.
In my case, I did full restore after installing the new OS. No problem. Never need to do a security wipe.

I suggest hitting the touchscreen in the appropriate spot, since I just tried it and had no such issue.

    Try refresh hub first..
Do this by swiping from right top edge of screen to mid screen 4 times.
    See if that works.

    Lol. Mockit?

My phone app refuses to cooperate with my contacts, if I'm trying to look at my contacts via the phone, it causes my phone app to freeze n I have to restart the phone. This has just been since I installed the leak :/

Sideload the clock bar from last leak you can find on the 1st page, or clock bar from igrann developer gaspetrix. I have read that he modified the clock bar for the Z30.

There is something terribly wrong there, see mine, on clean install (wiped before installing, nothing restored). I have the leak installed since day 1....

    PIM services at 263%

I would suggest that you either return the said device, or restore to the original OS that came with that device. This can be done via the factory restore feature on BlackBerry Link).

Another option would be to read the thread regarding installing leaks and follow that to the letter and do not do a restore. It would also be advisable to not install any accounts for the first 24 hours and then see how the device performs then.

I did follow it to them T and did not do any restore. I always put in new logins and wipe the device before new OS upload.

Good, what about the other option I suggested (It would also be advisable to not install any accounts for the first 24 hours and then see how the device performs then).

    Give that a go.
