You won't have to do anything. You will already be upgraded unless they release a newer version. Then you can update to that. You won't have to "take the leak off"

Now this is just a noob question here, I was going to install the leak OS last night, but I held back due to news of the official OS releasing the 28th. Anyone know if that's valid?

I've been dying to run this OS but I don't wanna run it, and then just have the update pop up tomorrow, unless of course updating OTA through my phone does nothing hazardous to my OS..

Hopefully someone can answer this thoroughly haha!

EDIT: What I meant by the above was, if I install leak OS and then update when official comes out, will I have to re-do anything and take leak off and restore? Or can I simply update and keep my files.
    Hey...
If you are dying to run this OS then download and install the leak. Else just wait it out till your carrier pushes it out. The leak installation is not OTA and is a destructive process for the data on the phone. The hardware works just fine.

If the new OS has the same build as the leaked OS it might still download some files, but once again the OTA process is a non destructive process for the data, genes I would say

If you install the leak you have to backup /restore manually after installing the leak.

If you install official ota then it will do this all in one shot.

Trying to get the 1925 leak and I'm running into issues. I have the STL-400, downloaded the autoloader and tried to open it. Every time I open the autoloader file I get the windows pop up that "windows can't open this file" and I have to choose a program to open the file. I even tried downloading the mirrors version and the same thing happens. Does anyone have an idea of why and what I can do to get around it?

i've sucessfully installed leaks before too but for this I had to extract with winrar. 7zip gave me an error on all the q10 links. I don't know why. But i'm installing now from the same link that 7zip couldnt open. *shrug*

It's kinda off topic but I just want to ask,
If in the settings of the email when sync interval is set to manual how will I sync it manually?
    I hope someone answer this.

I purchased Data Usage Counter a couple of days ago. The handy hourly usage record showed me that my device continuously consumed about 7.62Mb every hour even when phone is in idle (like bedside mode at night). So I check the Device Monitor and found the culprit: PIM services.

Any way to identify what is going on here? This sort of behaviour is causing me to blow my quota especially when I'm traveling for work and away from wifi.

    Q10SQN100-1/10.2.1.1925
Do you have an email account syncing contacts and/or calendar? That's where I'd start.
I tried disabling sync account by account. No difference. So I deleted every account on my device except the company ActiveSync (mail, contacts, calendar). PIM services has stopped hammering my data usage. Almost nothing now. At some point i'll start adding accounts back in and see which was the issue.

However, with that leak plugged, I've found another one: System seems to be worth about 1.1Mb/hr. Seems insignificant but that will still add up to 800Mb/month. Thoughts/suggestions?

Hi Crackberries, yesterday on upgraded my Q10 (SQN100-3) using the Lengend's leak because my carrier in Belgium does not release 10.2.1. Apparently everything went right when sideloading, but today I realized I can't make or receive phone calls ! When I check my device I see that 10.2.1.1925 is indeed installed but radio is 10.2.0.1792 although radio 10.2.1.1899 should have been included in the package and loaded on my device in the same move ??? Two questions : 1/ is this causing my phone call problem ? 2/ can I just load radio 10.2.1.1899 on my Q10 instead of loading the whole package again ? Thanks for helping me out.

OK John, do I just start sideloading and will 1926 smoothly override 1792 ? Should I do a secure wipe first or is that not really necessary in this case ?

Assuming you installed a version of the OS that did NOT have the radio, which is what appears to be the case, then it should install right over the top and be good to go. It's just an autoloader just like the OS. Takes about 30 seconds, device reboot, and done.

Are we going to see any new leaks anytime soon?

I have the same OS as everyone else now and I am jonesing for some new features!! Haha

Seriously though, 10.2.1.1925 (10.2.1.537) is exceptional as far as I am concerned. Loving it!

For us to help, it would be useful if you told us what model/variant of phone you are using and provided some detail as to what the "everything possible" was that you did, so that we are not suggesting things that you have already done.
