Mega always gives me an error in the middle of the download.. torrent is more reliable..

Just download bit torrent and click on the magnet link and you're set..

Hi, I've got a DevAlphaB, which has STL100-1 as it's model number. There seems to be 2 Radio/Non-Radio versions, which one do I use?

Also, can anyone clarify what a radio is all about? Bcoz As far as I know, there is no radio module on board the Z10.

It's the radio you need to get wireless coverage. You need the radio file.

There is only one Z30 file, all the others are mirrors. Mega is the most common download site that people posting leaks here use, but some people have problems downloading from Mega, so other members, such as Thurask in the OP post the leak to sites they have access to. For example, Thurask has posted them to Bitcasa. So all those links for Z30 contain the same file.

Ever since I loaded the leaked radio file, 1926 I believe, my battery life has been worse.. I'm thinking of just reloading the original autoloader with the 1899 radio, or reloading the new one hoping a new start will help.

    Any ideas?

Your post does not mention how long you've been using the 1926 radio, but these devices typically take several days to normalize the OS.

Pretty much what underway99 said if you reload with the autoloader your phone will be a battery hog for a couple days too, seems that 1926 is the better radio so if you've just loaded it then give it some time. If you've had it for a while it might be your location if your on the edge of a cell tower and your radio is constantly switching that can eat up battery,or maybe you have an app that's eating battery goes into the data monitor that comes with 1925 and see what process is using the most battery and maybe take a screen shot and out it up here and somebody will be able to help you out

Yes what rockivy says. You don't just flash radio and an hour later say "battery is worse". Give it a few days.

Does radio make anything fast? I thought it was just better reception, or do you mean data is faster?
Also, how do you install "on top off"? Aren't these destructive installs?

If the autoloader is a complete OS, yes they are destructive installs, but if it is just a file (or a few files) like the radio file, it is not. Well I guess you could say it is destructive to the file that is being replaced.

Its generally considered to be a good idea to wipe the device before restoring. Some people do, some don't. The theory is that the wipe gets rid of any bits and pieces of code that are hanging around after the install.

I don't think a wipe is necessary. Lots of bad experiences in the forums. I did not wipe and have no issues

I purchased Data Usage Counter a couple of days ago. The handy hourly usage record showed me that my device continuously consumed about 7.62Mb every hour even when phone is in idle (like bedside mode at night). So I check the Device Monitor and found the culprit: PIM services.

Any way to identify what is going on here? This sort of behaviour is causing me to blow my quota especially when I'm traveling for work and away from wifi.
