Working like a charm on my Z so far; sideloaded apps working as well and seem a bit smoother. The SayIt app is the only one that doesn't work but I can wait to see if the official release fixes that.

Here's one. BlackBerry bridge didn't restore from the bblink backup and also fails on install from app world. The 10.1 version of Adobe Reader fails too to install from app world.

Other apps installed from app world fine.

Anyone else with bridge not working?

Z10 LCD screen actually draws more power to display dark pixels

    Posted via CB10
I don't know where you got that from but is not true, any screen will need more power to display light pixels, the thing is that on lcd screens the benefits are not comparable to those on OLED or AMOLED screens.

Use a dark wallpaper on the Z10 and you will notice slightly gains on battery life, very minimal though

I have my desktop pc showing in the BlackBerry Link settings, but not available in the file manager.

Anyone know if there are hidden settings anywhere?

My install went well and things are working fine with 2 exceptions:
    - Bridge and Adobe reader will not install/update. At least Adobe Reader is working.
    - Payment Services settings reports unable to connect. Anyone know a solution for this?

Else, I'm happy - will probably keep it installed.
    Same for me.

Maybe a battery pull would do. I did mine right after install before the restore.

Thanks for the tip, Unfortunately still doesnt work, tried to reinstall the os and do battery pull before the restore. Guess il just have to go back to 10.0.10.85 and wait. Sigh

Installed in a few minutes but the restore process has been at 10% for 20 minutes already...

EDIT: Cancelled the restore, rebooted the device and restored in 5 minutes...all good now!
My restore hung at 15% for 20 minutes, so I tried this same solution. So far it's hanging again at 15%. Only about 15 minutes so far. I'll let it go for a while, since I have no other ideas.

    From wikipedia on OLED

    Power consumption
While an OLED will consume around 40% of the power of an LCD displaying an image which is primarily black, for the majority of images it will consume 60–80% of the power of an LCD: however it can use over three times as much power to display an image with a white background such as a document or website.[68] This can lead to reduced real-world battery life in mobile devices when white backgrounds are used.

OLED - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    and another source

    Energy Consumption

Depending on the content displayed (like other light producing technologies--e.g., plasma screens--OLEDs use the most power when displaying a white image, while light blocking technologies such as LCDs use maximum power to display black images), OLEDs typically use 20-50% less energy than LCD TVs.

    http://www.lcdtv.net/guide/lcd-vs-oled

Edit: so everywhere i've been reading says black OLED wins power consumption but loses when comes to white images.

Try it again, but put it into Airplane Mode before you reboot it, and leave it that way during the restore. This worked for me; I just completed the restore.

I have about $30 worth of apps that no longer appear to to be mine. There were not on device after install, and they do not appear in my 'downloads' section of app world.... How can I get them back?
You have to go back into app world search for the apps and hit download. I learned this last night when I didn't have Bebuzz show up in my downloads.

It's more then likely Carrier specific.

I am with Rogers and have an Unlocked phone and I am not able to edit the APN with the 10.1 installed.

Yes bridge can't be installed and I'm missing it, PB and Z10 been a perfect match so far. Maybe that's going to be solved either with the next release for Z10 or updated for PB to OS10, if that will be ever released. On the other hand may only bridge need a fix.

That's impossible. My apn settings were locked before the update to 10.1 and I'm using the exact same sim card now and they are unlocked.

There is dark theme refinements to 10.1 for the z10, but not the full theme support.

I could be wrong but my share in few apps is black and in others its white.
