So I didn't restore settings as stated in the first post but payment is still not working. Anything I can do to fix or do I have to just try reloading the os?

    Thanks!!

I'm guessing what I mentioned in my post above would still work for you. Try opening BlackBerry World and either adding Payment Info through settings, or starting a purchase.

It should ask you to sign in with your BBID first, then let you add your payment info.

Finally downloaded and installed. Loving it so far although feels a bit sluggish. Gonna use it for sometime and see how it responds. Is it me or did the keyboard just get even better?

To those wondering with Bell - the APN is no longer locked. I just put a simcard in that's associated with an Android data plan, changed the APN to pda.bell.ca, and I had the BB data indicator plus a successful BBM conversation over mobile network with Pantless Penguin.

So with this leak, at least we know that the requirement for the BB plan can be gotten around. Now, as to how that will register on the network side I don't know. I used to run an iPhone on an BB plan for 9900 and when I would be looking at my data, it only pulled RIM Data usage when doing BBM or email. When browsing it was listed as "mobile browser". NOW, however, it lists EVERYTHING including browser usage as RIM Data. Only the Service Zone stuff for network housekeeping is listed separately.

So, I would tread lightly on using the Z10 until there is official word from Bell about the data requirement. Technically now, you would be in breach of usage on the phone agreement by running the Z10 on a non BB plan, and I wouldn't want to see anyone get hit with overages. It looks like they finally found a reliable way to make sure the proper phone is using the proper plan.
Bell APN has been unlocked since the AT&T OS version 10.0.10.822 (Software Version 10.0.10.116).

Hi, I just installed this version thinking that Orange France block! And frankly, the first tests, I'm really happy: DEEZER not happening because of my SanDisk 32GB MicroSD Class 10 and like magic, no more worries. NEWSREPUBLIC air a little faster at the animations and we can finally see the ad announcing "SKYPE COMING SOON"! Too hastily last.

How do I restore my Z10 to the original OS, I try using this leaked OS but it's too buggy for me. Some of my text are being mixed between contacts, no good. I tried to do a security wipe, but it wiped the phone but kept same 10.1 OS.

This OS version fixed all the problems I had with the last version. Yahoo mail is setup and I have access to all of my apps and updates along with Bridge. Can't be happier now. I hope the updates keep getting better and better.

I did the update last night. It was a bit laggy for a while. But seems great this morning. I haven't had a chance to play with different apps nor re-sideload but hopefully after work I can test more. I thought I would last longer without doing leaks but I figure if VZW hasn't gone to 10.0.10 yet, it might take a while before we see an official 10.1. Thank you! Loving the leak so far!

Can any of you face the problem of Facebook? It never shows any notification if I close Facebook app. It is quite strange unlike on OS10.0. I always get notification even without turning the Facebook app on.

If you take a Contact with only a First name and combine them with a Facebook contact it completely eliminates the field for last name with no way to recover it.... Errrrr I'm seeing the bad starting to outweigh the good... Also Voice Control is some how worse on this version.

I can confirm that 10.1 OS has a better BES IT policy support.
Regardless if I activate BES before or after restore, IT policy will deactivate the Development Mode
(IT policy had practically no influence on 10.0 OS...)

Yet, I am sticking to this version

    Cheers,

Hi.. From Malaysia here. Had to give a shout out to lbfe, root and Kris for all these "leaks". Without you guys, i think we'll prolly won't get our hands on 10.1 for at least another 6 months or so. The carriers here are SLOW to push out updates, regardless how critical it is. Keep up the good work good people!!!

Wanted to share my little experience?

I have a STL100-2 device (OS 10.0.10.90) and my carrier is French.

I decided to install the leaked os as I was having a huge smtp problem. For some professional accounts, I couldn't send mails as I couldn't configure ssl authentication.

After the install of the leaked os, everything works fine for all my accounts. Another good news is that this os provides the abitlity to forward email using different accounts (you have to choose in the selector).

Moreover, Adobe acrobat update works now and Blackberry bridge works too.

I was about to return my Z10 and to go back to my old device and this leaked OS saved me. Thank you so much for the contributors!

The Z10 offers a really great experience.

Lol harsh, im sure some of you'll with stl 100-2,3 or 4 wouldve acted worse if your phones weren't included even if it were a leak. Lucky for me, get to see if it's worth upgrading rather than being tempted.

    Bobert _123:

Download from the links provided in this forum to you PC and use only the one for your model. (Model can be found in >settings >about

BACKUP everything using BB Link !!!!!
    CLOSE BB LINK
Disconnect the Z10 from your PC and shut down.

Invoke the exe file on your PC for the upgrade
When "Bootloader appears" like a C prompt, re-attach the Z10 and boot it up- its automatic form there- may take 10-15 min. When finished, Shut down again- THEBN And only then pull the battery and re-boot.

Using BB Link - restore your backup- I prefer to do apps and data selectively first and leave settings for last instead of doing them all at once, I Don't think the order matters- so you could do settings first- I just found nothing hangs by doing them one at a time. Do another battery pull AFETR SHUTTING DOWN- then re-load any side loads if you have them.

That's pretty much it- went smoothly for me- Good luck !
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Follow the above steps & nothing can go wrong....... the upgrade was as smooth as ever full procedure done in under 30 min.
