OK....So I'm thinking of finally installing leaked 10.2.0.1725 for STL100-4 (Verizon) on my Z10. I've been reading forums about BBM Cross Platform not working with a leaked 10.2 version. I'm currently on a leaked OS (10.1.0.4537). Once BBM goes Cross Platform finally after this fiasco this weekend, would it work on leaked 10.2 OS?

I don't believe the problems with Cross Platform BBM have anything to do with leaked OSes. I have a leaked OS and I fully expect to be able to communicate. I say go for it.

I heard that BBM Channels was causing the problem, not the OS.

i 2nd that motion... as far as i know cross platform bbm is blocked on BB's end. but once they free it up leaked os or not, we'll be able to bbm no prob.

on a side not i'm hearing bbm channels beta cant bbm ios on android. but the bbm in this leak isnt the channels version so it all good.

Thanks all for helping me decide to install this leak. Hopefully it will go smooth. Either later today or tomorrow morning I'll start.

Yes, go with 1743 though. Newer and not buggy...I'm on Verizon 10.2.0.1743. In So California...works awesome.

I'm confused now on which OS I should install. Either 1725 or 1743.

I just might have to. I loaded 1725 and now none of my side loaded android apps even from BlackBerry World won't open. I'll have to wait until Thursday to install the new OS. Got to say that I'm liking 10.2 so far even if my side loads aren't working.

You will need to side load the unlocked android runtime for your side loads to work again.

You have to sideload the android unlocked runtime. Or you will have to use a method more complicated (debug token) to be able to run your android apps.
Ans also go with 1743, it's a more recent leak. So it has updated apps.
And it does work fine. On all devices.

Tried the unlocked method and still no luck. I think that the android runtime is broken. I'll have to reinstall the OS again without restoring my applications.

The locked android runtime depends on the android app you are running. Only one of my android apps does not work on the locked runtime (Google Earth) My other apps work fine and work a LOT better with the updated locked runtime.

Also, have you tried rebooting after installing your android app that does not work to see if that fixes it? (battery pull or volume key method of hard reset) After installing the unlocked runtime did you reinstall your apps (this is required)

Which application are you having trouble with?
If the rest of the phone works ok, you can load just a Runtime bar file by itself.
I'm on Verizon, 10.2.0.1743. Debug Token installed.

You mail, candy crush, amazon, any apps that I side load won't open. Even Skype from BB World won't even open.

I deleted my apps and rebooted my phone after installing runtime. Nothing us working. I also installed debug token through Chrome and still no luck. I'm thinking of just reinstalling the OS without restore of my applications.
