Quite a lot of different suggestions , but thanks it's useful to discuss different point of view to better understand.

I think I will stay safe and install only the latest official 10.2.0.x release. I can then import all my contacts and so.

If I later understand I NEED really the 10.2.1.x leaked I can simply wipe all the contacts and setup, start again from scratch and redo all the process. Hope only I will find usability of 10.2.0.x good, better than 10.0 that push me to don't buy BB at the time.
Install 10.2.0.1809, it's stable... configure 10.2.0.1809, (setup accounts and contacts etc) run a full backup and then, if you are still interested install 1055.. if you aren't happy with 1055, at least you'll be able to downgrade to 1809 and won't have to configure it from scratch. I'll be running the next 10.2.1 leak but I've seen enough of 1055 to downgrade.. I don't usually downgrade.. I'll normally run the os until the next leak, but in the case 1055 was pissing me off. Especially certain android apps broke access the the account setup screen, android apps hijack instant actions, apps startup slower and slower, SD card issues, caller ID inconsistent yada yada..

.1055 does have some nice additions, but as far as performance goes 10.2.0.1809 is fantastic

I think you made a great choice. I started loading leaks on my BlackBerry a few years ago, and they can be really good or really bad. A glitchy leak can ruin your experience.

From this article appear that radio is something such as "Airplane mode" I know from my iPad.
Can't understand what does mean from a OS update point of view.
Maybe mean OTA update vs update from PC?
The radio is what the phone uses to receive and transmit the cellular signal. Without a radio file, the phone can't make calls, connect to the internet, etc.

I finally made the jump from my 9900 to Q10 on Monday. I've installed several OS for my 9900 in the past and I'm anxious to get a new one on my Q10. I have AT&T and the preloaded OS on there is 10.1.0.2030 and from what I have gathered, 10.2.x.xxxx is much better. I've been looking around the forums and it seems so daunting to install.

Would you guys say this process is easier than before, about the same or tougher? I just don't want to mess things up, but I haven't done that yet.

Also, the file seems so much bigger for this OS. Caught me by surprise.

Ok I've finished to transfer all my contacts, calendar activities, notes and to configure all the various parameters.

So far is working beautifully, really happy of my choice. A business phone stable and easy to use. Gestures need just a read of the manual and some practical experience.

Hope the future months of usage will be happy as this first hours, nothing to complain so far.

    Newbie... Oldbie Wanna be....

    Install the latest leak 10.2.1.1055.
    JUST DO IT!

To date it's the cleanest Leak. The trick ( which really isn't a trick) is to install the leak properly.
I've installed EVERY SINGLE LEAK we've been given and have NEVER had one single problem.

When you install the latest OS make sure the BBlink is not active. Also, make sure you don't cut off the install before it has fully finished.. Make sure you go through the settings (set up) Skip the"WiFi" window but sign in to your BB ID, then you're ready to restore.with BB Link.

Keep in mind, when restoring.... DO NOT restore "SETTINGS" just media files and contacts/ calendar.

restoring older (system) settings to a newer OS isn't logical. That's why it's called an UPDATE!
My Z10 runs so good, it purrs!!

I'm actually in the process of doing it now. Figured I'd do it at night while most people who'd try to contact me are sleeping.

I think you made a good choice. 10.2.0.1803 is a very satisfying OS. It doesn't leave you wanting anything like 10.0 or 10.1 did. OS 10.2.1.1055 and above addresses the "little things" in the OS that take the experience even further. You can enjoy your phone as it is, knowing that it can only get better.
