STL 100-1 owner here. There's a developer device update from BlackBerry version 10.2.1.1057 on this link:

Updating the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha Device Software - Download for Windows - BlackBerry Developer

While it says that this is not a full OS, I'm curious in knowing what the difference is? Is it the same as leaked OS, In which case, it is a more recent version; or is it a restricted version for developers?

Would appreciate if any of the devs can explain.

    Go with the Leaked OS
Dev OS is missing a lot of consumer stuff, like social media apps, music player etc. Not really an OS to use as your daily driver

Thanks guys, so it's missing a lot of stuff. Can that stuff be separately installed? I ask because the build number (if it is what it's called) is different (1057 instead of 1055) there could be difference in functionality or some bug-fixes or something.

By any chance do you know where can I find a working link for the 10.2.0.1055 os update? I found many different links but they don't seem to be working. It would be for the Stl 100. Thanks.

Here you go. Just choose the link for your Z10 model.

Do you know how to install it?

They're the same OS, underneath. They have the same build date, build ID and component version numbers, just that one of them has the apps stripped out. No bug fixes between them.

First off, Dev Alpha A/B correspond to STL100-1 hardware.

That being said, I don't think any 10.2 works on Dev Alpha A.

Your options are 10.0.10 and 10.1. I've heard that the 10.1 MR doesn't work for Dev Alpha A, so either the latest 10.0.10 (10.0.10.822) or the latest non-MR 10.1 (10.1.0.2151) are your choices.

    10.1.0.2151 for STL100-1:

    10.0.10.822 for STL100-1:
