The 10.2.0.483 has been leaked, if you want 10.2 right now. As far as 10.2.0.810 we are running it through the normal tests to make sure everything functions and works.

Will that work on STL100-1 too? Can it be Sideloaded?

    Device: STL100-4 (VZW)
    OS: .4633 to .4687

    Back up to Link
    Set in Airplane Mode
    Shut down Link
    Extract file with 7zip
    Launch unzipped file
    Bootloader takes over, loads file
    Disconnect device after OS load
    Complete tutorial
    Enable Airplane mode again
    Security Wipe
    Complete tutorial
Restore from Link (45 minutes in my case)
    Launch vnBB10
    Reload my sideloaded apps (20)
    Done! (roughly two hours)

    My sideloaded apps work fine.
Surprise, surprise! My sms messages are all there! Nice surprise!
    VVM working
    Contacts all there.

So far, so good! Everything is quicker. Launching settings nearly gave me a heart attack since it opened almost immediately! Everything seems faster coming from .4633 I suspect a nice upgrade thus far. I'll report back about battery life. .4633 battery life was horrible for me.

Seem to be getting a lot of heat from this OS but signal strength seems very much improved. Also found an issue in BBM settings. See SS below Could this be due to a bad install as my device doesn't show software release either.

I came from the 4651 leak to this. Installed, wiped and didn't restore. Completely clean start so don't know why the text is screwed up in BBM settings. Device is running hot as soon as I start using it. At present only running Cb10 and using a hell of a lot of power.

Well I have to say it is running cooler for. For example Mirio Sat Nav used run at 43c, now its running at 36c. Other apps, and the phone in general is running a lot cooler. Battery life has also improved. STL-2

That could be initial indexing phase. Normally you have to give it a day or two

If you knew how many times i done this you wouldn't say that to me I've installed this 2 days ago to test it, so no is not indexing issues.....

Took the plunge wit ha STL 4- Smoothe load- , Security Wipe, and restore is now loading- slowly- BUT then I do a selective restore- now I'm doing the apps / Media- I always do the settings first... one thing I noticed right away- its very cool- not warm or hot at all-
that's a first having loaded several of this- I was on 4543 - so I've skipped some after reading some reviews- but his looks like a winner until 2.0- stay tuned-

UPDATE- After restoring from BB link- the Temp shot up to 91 - but an hour later hack down to 75- everything working, including Flipboard 2.0 which didn't like the last 2 leaks- so I'm very happy- so far so good and very stable...

Ok…please read past any emotions you may find…

How in the world has anyone been able to claim that their Z10 battery can last more than 8 hours with minimal use is absolutely beyond me. This leak is progressing the exact same way as all the others except 10.1.0.1881. Two Z10s purchased 2 months apart with the same very much extremely low battery life.

    The setup:
    - All leaks installed fresh = no restore of anything
    - 8 email accounts – all set to push with manual check – only one outlook.com account for contacts and calendar
    - Facebook set for no notifications, no contact sync and no event sync
    - Twitter with all notifications and syncing off (Blaq too)
    - Linkedin with all notifications turned off
    - Skype – auto logon = no, log off immediately, and no notifications at all
    - Be Buzz running for LED and sound only (at 50% volume) – native notifications off
    - Background image is 80% black (not just dark, but black)
    - Screen brightness at 50%
    - Screen timeout at 1 minute
    - All other advice for saving battery life followed from multiple forum threads

    The use:
    - 10 emails a day total across all accounts
    - 1 phone call a day for <5 minutes
    - 2 facebook checks
    - 2 to 4 twitter checks
    - 4 to 5 times a day using GReaderNews for 10 minutes each
o One 2-minute video (based on news articles) per day
    - 60% idle per day

    The uncanny Results:
    - Every leak (with 1881 the only exception) produces <6 hours of use (That’s 100% down all the way to 5%).

I LOVE BBRY, but man… these results are so depressing I am actually considering going back to my Torch 9800, which can blow my z10 off the planet with better battery life for all the above plus a whole lot more.

What in god’s name might I be doing wrong?

    -grrrr

    ps- I'm on at&t.

I can honestly get 18 hours or more with light use when I'm being sensible (turn off LTE, use wifi when available, NFC off, etc). Of course if I'm power using, I can blow through a battery in under 8 hours. I could never expect better on any big screen device. The Z10 rocks.

Maybe a bug, the 20% or below led doesn't flash!
The 10% or lower notification suddenly started flashing again but from 20 to 10 it was dark...

Or is there a hidden option for that?

After a bit over 24 hours from a easy installation and flawless restore on my wife's phone, battery life has been good (probably will improve as time goes by), and all I have to say is SMOOTH and VERY STABLE!!! Even my wife that is not a tech oriented has commented on the new OS. I only added the 10.2 clock BAR file for multiple alarms capability and a few other Android sideloads.

Great debut pili4. Thank you for sharing.

Can't expect better because software can only help so much. The battery technology is falling behind all the rest of the world's tech. So frustrating.
