I wouldn't trust that this document shows EVERYTHING about the new 10.1 features. Michael Clewley did say over twitter that the 30 day email limit would be lifted in 10.1. This document doesn't show anything about the tweaks, only about some, if not all, of the features.

I saw what was reported in the leak and, to be honest, unless I misread what was posted, it seemed that almost everything is for the Q10. I'm not sure I like the idea of releasing updates/upgrades/etc that only work on one version of BB10 and not the other in that it leads to speculation that the Z10 is already being forgotten by BB (comments via twitter were to this effect).
All this hand wringing about Z10 being forgotten, 2 months after launch! (or 2 weeks in the US) Come on. Many of these 10.1 features are clearly to get OS10 ready for the Q10 launch. This OS is the foundation for the company for a long time, they're not going to halt Z10 development that's just rediculous. Granted the new versions with new features/bug fixes may not come fast enough to keep people satisfied.

The biggest dealbreaker of them all is not being fixed? Color me shocked.
Who said that it's not being fixed?? Has blackberry said they will not be fixing the 30 day limit on emails??

Meh its for the q10, didn't expect anything new for the z10.

I just hope that the dark theme becomes available for the Z as well
The dark theme is already on the Z10, it's just set per-app. Open BlackBerry World or Story Maker and you'll notice all the backgrounds are black with black buttons. Open BBM and all the backgrounds are white with white buttons. All that's happening with the Q10 is that some apps which currently use white are switching to black because it saves power (but only on the Q10, due to a different screen technology). There's still no support for users to change themes, it's picked by the developer.

Exactly! In fact, this doc doesn't even pretend to show all new 10.1 features... look again at the title:

BlackBerry10 Maintenance Release 10.1 OS builds on the features and functionality found on the BlackBerryZ10 smartphone and adds additional support for the physical keyboard and screen size found on the BlackBerryQ10 smartphone.

So firstly...again, its only a leak.

Second, it seems to me that the only claim it makes is to show 'additional support' for the Q10. Geez, no surprise then that the content is largely only relevant to the Q10. Its by no means an exhaustive list of fixes (in fact, its not really even about fixes at all)... so I can't understand why people are so quick to get worked up.

a high level document that goes through the feature improvements in BlackBerry OS 10.1 and how they differ from what is on BlackBerry 10 for the BlackBerry Z10
This document is about FEATURES, not bug fixes. The fact that fixes aren't included in this document doesn't mean they will not be included in an OS update.

I'm with you. I heard it wouldn't though due to the LCD screen on the Zed not needing it but it would still like to have it

If the 30 days email limit is lifted and ALL the emails start syncing, the phones will bog down to the point of being unusable. Instead, emails older than 30 days should be archived, and the most recent 30 days should be synced. I wonder which of these two options were going to get.

What proof do you have that the phone will get bogged down? Lots of phones these days let you keep a year's worth of email without issues. Stop spreading FUD and post your sources.

I had 7 years of emails and messages on my 9860; from 5 different accounts that I kept transferring from old phone to new phone. You really think 31 days of emails is gonna bring down a BlackBerry?

Saying that is simply saying that Blackberry was way out of it's league in creating anything past OS7...
...Iphones and Droids don't "bog down" with having WAY more than 30 days of email.
...What you're saying indicates that Blackberry can't compete in todays market w/out delivering a foppish product.

I've heard several people make that claim - so it's very possible that 6 months of email.....
...could bring down the Blackberry 10 device because of the way it was 'designed'.
...Why in the world else would BBRY have done this if it wasn't needed to keep the device from crashing?

I can think of NO OTHER REASON given Blackberry was founded on EMAIL......
...And the ability of doing it better than any other mobile device.
