Evidently, Facebook Home works with later releases of the 10.2 Android player. It acts as a launcher, attempting to usurp the QNX launcher at every opportunity.

I believe it gives you a choice of what to do every time you open an Android app with Home installed.

I had a honeycomb launcher and an ics launcher... both were more trouble than they were worth, in my opinion. they look cool for about a minute and then they get in the way, haha. There's an ios "launcher" out there as well. That ones kinda funny

I had an iOS7 launcher for about 2 minutes. The good thing about it is it stays in an active frame, so you can swipe out of it at any time. Horrible app though, not even worth the time it took to side load.

Yea launchers are not ideal, as any sideloaded app will need to be launched within that launcher. If you try to launch a sideloaded app, or even a downloaded port outside the launcher, you'll have a tough time getting into your app.

Than the fight between getting the launcher to take effect instead of the "qnxapplauncher" that it competes with is an other issue.

    Noob question

Can someone explain what launchers are and the point on using one other than the qnx one?
