Simulators are available for 1298 and 1955, which means they'll be released soon (well, that and actually being on servers now).

Server OS + simulator means release soon, and in this case, it means Passport and Classic on AT&T.

I remember when the first alpha 10.3.0.140 leaked. I think it was in march last year. It took until August which was 5 months later to get a +1000 build. So my guess for a stable 10.3.2 build will be around July. Correct me if I'm wrong

    Posted via CB10
That's not necessarily going to be the case.

10.3.0 was a new version of BlackBerry 10 - a LOT was changed from 10.2. Therefore, there was a lot of code to optimize and develop to get to the point of a .1000+ build.

10.3.2 is more likely to be a small-step evolution of 10.3.1 - less new code, therefore less to develop and optimize. Smaller changes, not big ones.

...That's assuming 10.3.2 is for wide, public release. Remember, 10.2.2 was the Secusmart release that featured enhanced Enterprise security. Perhaps 10.3.2 is similarly a security - enhanced version of 10.3.1 meant for enterprise and government.

It would certainly make sense from a development standpoint - get the foundations of a major software release nailed down, then add in the security for enterprise and government. Those sectors need releases that work right the first time, so the normal development model isn't really an option.

Maybe, but 10.2.2 took off from an existing branch of a +1500 build.

10.3.2 is starting over with the build numbers. That tells me that it should have a bit more going on.

The first 10.2.2 build that made it onto the servers was actually 10.2.2.214.

I don't really know what happens inside the black box of BB10 development - it's a mystery to me.

Nice, we now have a new build ID. That'll likely mean some new app bars compared to 2072 and 2243?

Leak or carrier release soon, I hope

Edit: simulators don't show a software release? I don't think I took notice before

They don't. Very limited info compared to a real OS.

And yes, this should have new bars compared to 2243/1955. Already the Browser and Webkit are newer judging from the About screen.

As for leaking, that's out of my control, although this simulator means release of this/a refresh of this is quite likely.

Good to see a browser update. Can always use improvement.

I was just hoping that some carrier somewhere might decide to pick this one up for release. Guess we'll have to 'wait' and see
