Thanks. I checked for this a few days ago but wasn't listed. Wonder how 1955 is different or is the same as 1949. Will the Passport flicker on this OS I wonder

Not sure if they were earlier, but the latest two builds are now on the production server.

    OS 10.3.1.2210 - SR 10.3.1.1542 [Production] [Invalid]
    OS 10.3.1.2213 - SR 10.3.1.1544 [Production] [Invalid]

Thurask, any idea why all builds on production now say invalid in your app? I apologize if this has already been covered.

The Snapdragon 801 has support for 4K capture, so yes. Just a matter of making it work on the software side.

What sort of benefit are you hoping for. The camera lense simply isn't good enough.

And by the way: 4k won't catch on. Remember my words...

Sorry..but if 2K aka FullHD aka 1080p recording is a standard video with 1920*1080 it does mean you need at the very least a 2MP video camera to shoot at that res. 4K means you have almost 4K pixels on the horizontal axis vs 2K for the full hd. Beeing said that, you can do the math: you need a 4M+ camera (with the right sw and the right processor of course) to record at 4K. You know what? Passport has got 13MP
P.s. Consider that the iphone 6 with his 8MP camera already can record 4K videos..
P.p.s. I agree with everybody saying 4K is gimmick and with cameras that small (smartphone cameras) it is useful.

    Trying to stay on topic,

I can only speak for Africa on this, I would say 70% of the TV's that you can buy here are 1080p and about 29% are HD ready 720p which leaves about 1% and possibly less for 4K TVs which you can purchase. Most of them are 50" inches and bigger.

So quite honestly unless you are filthy rich, recording in 4K seems quite silly and unnecessary. Besides just having the right TV or Monitor to watch the materal on. The file size would be really big. Approx 1GB per 4 Minutes of video.

To try keep this on topic. The best feature I'm looking forward to is recording 720p video at 60fps will be so nice and smooth!

You don't get my point. Obviously it is possible to capture 4k-videos in terms of pure pixels. But what is the benefit is it still looks crappy due to cheap optical build-in lenses.

    Wow a 4k-Video that's looks like PAL / SECAM.
