How is it possible that I run 10.2.1 and My device says I'm on the most recent software if there are 10.2.2 out there?

As far as I know, 10.2.2 has only been released for Germany and does not introduce any noticeable changes. So it doesn't worth installing.

To clarify this Germany myth: I do live in Germany and I'm not able to download 10.2.2.

10.2.1.3442 is most recent OS here...

@Paul If you have a Q5 or you provider is O2 or Eplus you are right. For Z10, Z30 and Q10 on T-mobile and Vodafone it is 10.2.2.1609.

    I'm from Germany too.

By definition, a DEV OS is not "full".

    10.3.1.995 is the "full" counterpart.

I guess we can install 10.3.1.997 and then install 10.3.1.745 apps over it to make it a full os

Don't be confuse with 10.3.1.997 being SR it's the OS version not SR, while 10.3.1.745 is the SR of OS 10.3.1.1151.

And therein lies the problem of having multiple numbers for the same OS release.

Regardless of the build of files that make up the OS, just provide one release number for the whole thing that goes out and call it a day.

We can still go in and look at the individual file versions and get a sense of which parts are newer or not, but to release the whole set with two sets of numbers is just ridiculous.

Still, it's better than the legacy OS which often was released with 3 sets of numbers: the Package Version (or Bundle) - what the carriers used, the Application Version - the actual OS number and what we on Crackberry went by, and Software Platform - what nobody really paid attention to.
