are you suggesting they wont fix it? i would think they are obligated to. if they are still in business.

Do they have to build a fix that covers BBOS7 too?

Sure, but at least BBOS is officially EOL.

We still don't know how vulnerable BB10 is became they haven't released an advisory yet, I assume once that's posted we'll know what's next.

There may be degrees, but the way I understand it is that every device using wpa2 needs to be patched - smartphones, computers, routers, etc, etc.

So far that seems to be the case, the most vulnerable devices are Android and Linux based while iOS and Windows mitigate it to a certain extent. It'll be interesting to see where BB10 falls on that scale.

I think they will fix it since its seen as a 'critical' issue with Wi-Fi enabled devices. BB10 also has the NIAP certifIcation, so I'm not sure if that's still valid with this 'hole'. 😃

All we can do is wait and see what Blackberry does. Their dev is probably on holiday playing Pokemon right now (Gen 3 coming soon) haha (just kidding)

I believe Windows is already patched and the iOS patch is in beta testing.

Correct, Windows patched and deployed it last week. iOS and Sailfish OS have also patched it but I don't believe they've deployed it for all customers yet.

I've simply deleted all private networks from my BB10 phones. I will connect to public WiFi and use a VPN for my personal data, but I avoid WiFi for all professional use.
