Is there a big difference between this and 1443? Should I go ahead and start downloading the autoloader for 1443 or just leave it alone?

If you want bug fixes and a more stable OS then I would go with 1443 provided you are not on STL100-1.

I have found 1443 to be very reliable as a daily driver.

Agreed, and load the leak runtime too.

You will, however, lose the almighty squircle by upgrading to 1443!

if you have the STL100-1, installing 1047 isn't necessarily a mistake

You can spice it up with what BigBadWulf said and load the unlocked runtime:
    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...untime-842651/

And sideload the updated apps provided by wu-wei from 1443:

The above is my daily driver, x to board!

I have a stl100-3 I just updated to 1443, but thank you for the link to the unlocked runtime as well as the side loaded apps list. Very much appreciated.

I just can't bring myself to switch totally to 1443.

The squircle lives in my Hybrid 1047 with all the Wu-Wei 1443 sideloads.

All this squircle talk is making me question the 1443 install. Lol it was beautiful, but not sure it adds much more than aesthetic appeal.

I have been kidding around but all those important 1443 updates can be side loaded from the stickies thread. Android apps (and native BlackBerry apps) are running super fast with >8 hour battery time. The Squircle just happens to remain.

Never under estimate the importance of having an aesthetic activity and progress animation.

The squircle is just that, a great aesthetic element.

Activity and progress animations don't actually "do" anything. Lol silly people think such ideas.

Whom would ever think a squircle had powers of its own?

I didn't mean to make it sound as though I thought the squircle did anything. I know it merely let's me know that I'm doing something.

Whatever you do - - don't install .1371. Worst of all possible worlds. Terrible antenna stack= poor battery life. And the lag is ridiculous. Thought it might settle in after a week. It never did. And no squircle.

4 or 5 days I think. Hard for me to remember, too many builds lol. But the it was cool and fast immediately for me, no real settle in period.

There is indeed a different squircle. The loading circle is what we are referring to when we say squircle. On the 1047 build the loading circle is a square with rounded edges, hence why we call it a squircle. And it spins when something is loading. Similar to the boot screen squircle, but not colored. And it spins. Its quite aesthetically pleasing.
