iOS can't even multitask as has already been pointed out. And that's not an example of how cool iOS is, that's an example of how uncool iOS is. But someone will post some fantasy video of an iPhone morphing into a helicopter, and people will jump into the topic to remark how much better apple is than BlackBerry because a BlackBerry can't turn into a helicopter.

Why cant the mods change the misleading title? Add the word "Concept" along with it.

    I think it looks good.

The whole thing about who copied who... who the hell really cares? if it leads to improvements then it should be encouraged.

Or are you saying we should still all be too long about in horse and carts?

Everybody copies from everybody else. Of course, the one with the loudest (marketing) voice is recognized as the innovator.
    Unless you copy from apple.

Then they sue the living sh*t outta you.

    Just ask Samsung.

This is the best active frame concept. Seriously so much better than the current BB10 (in)active frames which is not much useful.

BlackBerry should make active frames more like this. Looks much cleaner and easier.

This is definitely a cool concept and would fun and useful. Let's see who implements it. Apple will continue to tweak things and call them innovative; that's part of their business strategy. People will listen and be awed. The world will go on.

That's pretty sweet... love the pinch to "peek" in.

It does look good and a lot like BlackBerry Active Frames. Using the pinch feature on such a small screen would be fiddly for me.

Probably the fact that people make such a big deal over it.

When, if it's true, Apple is merely showcasing something that has been done twice over and call it a "concept" to make an impression that they did it "first"

    Z10 STL100-1/10.2.1.2141
Apple did not do this. They did not call it a concept. It is a fan created concept. Apple is not showcasing it.

Lol what's funny about the comments of that video is everyone claiming it is a page out of the Android book or windows phone rather than BB10.

I do admit though I wish BlackBerry would give us a little bit more interaction with our active frames that would be super

This is not very much like active frames. The active frames we know on BB10 are a static open application. This is showing an OS where all icons are in fact essentially open and running apps, for which you can pinch to peak in and resize the icon to a frame and pinch back down to a running icon. BB10 is still a very static as is the current iteration of IOS. Only Android (Windows??) with its widgets, active wallpapers etc is an active OS. BB7/ 7.1 even allowed icons to display information, which along with the app switcher I believe worked better than the current approach with active frames in the home screen.

I think it's a terrific idea. It's not quite active frames, but the pinch in/out to zoom/collapse is brilliant.

Maybe BlackBerry can do something like this in the future, hope they see these video and ideas.. maybe they can be like apple, they don't care where it came from, they just steal the idea..

lol, when I saw it... Just hate the "pinch" gesture and hate all the "smudging" on display. Pls BB, give us more hw key shortcuts for our Q10/Q5. If this mobile industry will go this same way some year yet, I don't know, what cell phone to have. I think, the future will be without hw keyboards, so maybe I have to stop using the mobile, or have to buy some Nokia 3210...

but what i would like to see more is "interactive" active frames. for example display pause button on that minimized audioplayer app, or scroll through your daily events on the minimized calendar app.

Won't that infringe on BlackBerry active frames.

    Posted via CB10
First Blackberry would need to have an applicable patent, second they'd have to take apple to court and prove it's valid.

BlackBerry active frames should just have you long press it to increase size then go back to normal once released. A little different than this ifan apple concept.
