[Edit] This works with multiple paragraphs too. For example, if you want to select three paragraphs - tap one finger on the first paragraph and the second finger on the third and it will select the text in all three. Nice and clean.

What do you mean double tap? I don't have to double tap

2, if you long press this "left shift "button, all input will be capital. Try it now.
Interesting way to select text on 10.3-img_20140827_093339.png

No double tap needed. It's just something I've always done as I find it works (or worked) more reliably with a double tap. The main takeaway is the fact that it works for multiple paragraphs.

I'm not getting any result using "two finger" touching to select text, only touch-and hold and shift+tap/drag seems works on my Q10.

You shouldn't even need to press Shift again. You hold Shift and slide your finger. When you lift your finger, the editing toolbar should appear.

That's how it works on 10.2.1 anyway. Maybe on 10.3 you don't need to hold down Shift...?
Wow i learned this just how. Thanks!

It doesn't work in the Browser, if that's where you're trying it.

Try it in an email / BlackBerry Remember entry. You could even try it on a CB homepage article. Just touch both fingers on the screen (at the same time) - one at the start point and the other at the end point. It will select all of the text in between.

I don't understand why you guys need to press shift, you hold your finger for 1 second and then when the upside down balloon appear you drag then until you select what you want, or is it something else that I don't see? Why using 2 hand when you can do all that with one?

I see what you mean now, but I still cannot get it to work reliably. The other methods seem to respond much faster on my end.

    Just a heads-up for clarification:

The two-finger tap actually just selects all text between the two spots that were tapped...it doesn't select the entire paragraph as previously mentioned.

Would be nice if it worked in the browser as well, but I don't mind long-press and then moving the selectors.

On the topic of text-selection: Does anybody else agree that BlackBerry needs to find a way to get their text selection method over to the Android Runtime? I find the stock Android text selection method to be incredibly inaccurate and obstructive.

On standard, of you want to select text, it works like this :
    - touch a word and hold : the word will be selected
    - keep holding and the line or the sentence will be selected
    - keep holding even more and the selection will extend downwards.

It is actually pretty well done

It's app specific- it does select the whole paragraph in some instances.
