    Hey there CrackBerry,

Just came across a curious issue when I was trying to install snap on my Z10 STL-003 after I loaded 10.3.1.938 onto it...

When trying to access the development side of the phone (after enabling developer mode), after logging into the BB10 chrome app or using Sachesi, or even the "easy snap installer" from Cobalt, I'm unable to properly connect...

I enter the correct password (and I've tried changing the device password to no avail), and it simply sits at "Retrieve list of installed apps from BB10 / PlayBook device ..." when using the Chrome app, Sachesi says "Error - Authorization", and the easy snap installer thinks it has installed it but actually says "Resetting stale session"...

I'm still able to connect to my Passport fine, just not my Z10...

*Posted it here since it made more sense to me to be here since it's a leaked OS issue, feel free to move it if you don't agree Mods*

All I wanna do is install Snap on my Z10 so I can use it just for testing stuff out on new OS's...

    I've tried both Sachesi 1.9.9 and 1.8.3
Strangely enough, Sachesi 1.9.9 shows that there are 6 possible devices to connect to despite only 1 being plugged in, while 1.8.3 only lists the 1...

You don't need developer mode for Sachesi...

I'm on .938 and installed Snap with Sachesi 1.9.9 without issue. Try temporarily removing the password from the device altogether and see if you can get it to connect.

When you connect your phone to your PC, does it ask you for password? If not I suspect you have a botched upgrade. Happened to me today after nondestructive upgrade. Had to autoload in the end. All back to normal now.

I went straight for the autoload because this is my secondary device I'm just using for fooling around with the OS and apps now, so I've tried autoloading twice...

I'll try no password and see if that fixes it, but this is weird that I can't get in with Chrome...

I had to open Link first before loading Snap so it would load the drivers again for the berry. Seems like windows thinks it's a new device with each newly installed leak.

If you haven't gone that far with setting up the phone, I'd suggest you do a security wipe using SIC Multiwipe v1.1, then reload the OS. I did just that & now my device can be detected.

If Sachesi v1.9.9 is giving you a trouble, give v1.9.6 a shot.

Try to re run Sachesi, I used V1.9
Set your device to flight mode and turn off device password
    Plug in your device
    Install files-Snap

That was what I did and without any issue

Thanks for the advice everyone, but still no luck...
When I first installed I did a SIC Multiwipe with v1.2
    Tried Sachesi 1.9.5, 1.9.9, 1.8.3 now...

Interesting, I can't connect to Link with the Z10...
It keeps telling me my Device setup is incomplete, which isn't true, I did complete it...
I even signed into my BB ID and went into AppWorld and rebooted, still no dice...

    Related maybe?

Kill sachesi via task-manager. Dont't only kill the process, kill it's structure. Than retry.

    No dice...

I'm going to give another autoloader a chance and see if it was maybe just that one being screwy...

I read somewhere else to check to make sure your USB connections are turned on inside your settings, like they may have defaulted to off.

I've gone in and looked at the new 10.3.1 settings and the only things I can enable are irrelevant (USB mass storage + Charge Only Mode)

    New autoloader didn't help...

    Running out of ideas -.-

Edit: It still shows in Link that the setup has not complete. I'm almost positive this is relational to the issue that no other devices are able to connect to it properly, so does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like maybe you are trying to connect (in Chrome) to the wrong phone...check the ips on the Z10...

    Good News!

I finally got it to work. Randomly it popped up telling me I needed to finish the Setup, so I tapped to Open, (I have no SIM in it) and skipped that step, even though I was connected via Wifi it said I wasn't so I just clicked next, then it tried checking for carrier updates, failed, clicked next, checked for device updates, failed, clicked next, finished setup and exited.

Opened Sachesi and it was able to connect!

Makes no sense, but whatever. To anyone with this issue, just wait it out! :P

I know for a fact I was connecting to the right IP. Connected to multiple different wifi IP's I set, connected to multiple different USB IP's I set too.

This random popup fixed it though that let me finish the setup process.

Curious though, I still can't connect via Link, but that's okay :P (Says device setup incomplete)

I did non-destructive, so it's been ok so far. I'm not sure what's up with this device setup incomplete
I know that since 10.3, if you clean install, sometimes the internet will bug out on you.
There's definitely something weird there, happens once in a blue moon. But if you just reload the autoloader it will go away

I used two different autoloaders 4 times... Something to do with my device I guess...
    At least it's fixed :P

I kept getting the "device setup incomplete" error, unplugged the device and signed out of Link. When I signed back in I connected to my Z30 no problem.
