You would need the update bars. You could use another carrier's update bar files, and go at it that way
I wouldn't recommend it though. There are a lot of changes from 10.2 to 10.2.1. I would even assume you're on 10.1MR, which would be even a worse idea. Why don't you just backup then restore?

    Carrier: 015
    Device Z10
    Variant stl100-2

Please note that I have a stl100-3 and it worked perfectly

Does this mean it's possible to sideload a leak? If so please give me links to the bar files, im on stl1

It's not possible to sideload a leak which is a 'destructive' method to update.

To update in a non-destructive way you will need to use BB Link or BB official web page (BlackBerry - Software Updates - New Update Software for BlackBerry Smartphones - Australia) or How to update your BlackBerry to OS 10.2.1 | CrackBerry.com and check for any updates.

If none are available and you do not want to wait for your carrier, then use Sachesi (http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...9/index49.html), but you will need to find out the country and carrier codes for the STL 100-1.

shorski #786 http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...phones-905407/ might be able to help you.

One last point, don't forget to do a backup first, just in case.

Check my reply to Clifford Pilane #8 below.

If your Z10 is the STL 100-2/3/4 you can use Country 234 / Carrier 015 / Device Z10 / Variant STL 100-2 in Sachesi to update your phone in a non-destructive way, but do a backup first just in case.

You can also download the latest version of BB Link BlackBerry Link v1.2.3.22 for Windows now available | CrackBerry.com

Thanks for the country codes bb8900edit. I too installed the 10.2.1.2102 software release (non destructively but I backed up for insurance). Can't wait to see if I'm able to perceive any performance improvements on my STL100-3.
    Thanks fellow CrackBerryHeads :-)

So, if I backup up my locked Z10 - STL100-3, OS 10.1.0.2074 - with link and then wipe my phone and install the update through Sachesi, I can restore everything I had - contacts, pictures, etc. - on my Z10 again with the new update installed?

I know this might sound dumb, I just have never done this and I'm just tired of waiting for AT&T to release the update.

I installed the Vodaphone 2102/2142 from 1925 ..last night-after backing up with BBLINK (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) its on the BB Servers and I installed it according to the Instructions in the sticky on this forum, It was smooth and uneventful. I then used the autoloader for radios provided by those Fine Folks at Legend to update my radio as the Vodaphone Z10 is SLT 100-2 and I have a Verizon 100-4. That too was smooth, and uneventful - and both installs were non-destructive - yippee- no restores ! Just to be safe- I did to 2 full re-sets...

So far everything is fine, smooth and running- and it fixed my Visual Voicemail issue plaguing me since I installed 1925 (seems restoring <settings> can have an issue with that ). V V hasn't been in my Hub for awhile- and I couldn't download or listen to Voicemail- I had to dial in ! ( How do people live like that ? ) Stay tuned but I am VERY HAPPY and wish to extend my sincere thanks to Sachesi AND Legend (I will contribute today) - BB ROCKS :

(FYI- Country Codes etc are available at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php...e_country_code )

Trying to find a country and carrier code to update my Z30 to 10.2.1 with sachesi. So far everyone I've checked still shows 10.2.0. Can anyone help?

Okay, I finally found one. If anyone else is looking for it, this is what I used: Canada 302 Telus 220 Z30 STA 100-5

If you update with Sachesi, you don't need to restore anything. It will keep what you had. Update will be like AT&T releasing it on your phone.

Backup is used as 'insurance' in case something goes wrong.

The OS and radio files between those 2 models are completely interchangeable, so you should be fine.

I have never had one successful backup of my Z10 since I got it (Link sucks. . .)

One of the nice things about Sachesi is that you can also do device backups with it.

Even though it requires the USB drivers installed by/for Link, I've found there are times when Link does not work that Sachesi will work. And the process is more straightforward, and it does not impose dumb default filenames/paths on you that you have to jump through hoops to override, etc.

Sorry if this has been already asked. I've searched the forum, but found nothing on this: Is there a carrier that has the (official BlackBerry) OS 10.2.1.2141 for the Z10 STL100 1?

I've been searching with Sachesi those country and carrier codes mentioned here (Canada/302 -Telus/220 ... UK/234 - Vodafone/015) that apparently have OS 10.2.1.2141 only available for other Z10 variants (STL 2, 3, 4...), and neither has it for the STL 100 1.

    Thanks for any leads...

    Posted via CB10

Edit: Found out using Sachesi that Vodafone (Carrier 04) Netherlands (Country 204) has OS 10.2.1.2141 available for the Z10 STL 100 1.

Do you need to be in Developers Mode when you use Sachesi to install the leaked OS? I think I saw that he recommends Airplane mode.

    No need for developer mode.

It's a good idea to be in airplane mode so A) if you made a backup beforehand you are not receiving new data during the update that was not part of your backup and B) it's not a particularly good idea to be receiving data and writing files/data while you are in the middle of a core OS update.

Just make sure to turn airplane mode off after the update and restart so the Hub can re-populate/sync etc.
