If I remember correctly, you have to run the autoloader program and then connect your Z10 to your laptop via USB.

Oh, and I think you have to remove any sim card you have in the device.

Are you using a Mac or PC? This method only works on a PC; I'm not sure if it is possible via Mac. If you downloaded 10.2 it probably came as a zip file. You have to use a program to unzip the file. From there, click on the exe program that results. The program, which is the autoloader, should begin to run.

I'd remove it to be safe. And if you have an SD card, I'd remove that, too.

Is the autoloader still writing to the OS to device? What does the autoloader say in the bottom right?

Read what I linked. And no need to remove the SIM card.

I just installed my first leak, and it was uber simple. It does, however, mean a completely fresh start to your phone, so if you have any important documents ANYWHERE on your z10, time to back them up. As far as bricking your phone, it would most likely be a soft brick, which is quite repairable. One thing that helped me when I loaded my leak, is start the autoloader, and then plug in the z10. Of you plug in your z10 and don't start the auto acer immediately, you can miss the bootrom, and the autoloader won't kick in, which will soft brick your phone. If that happens, I just restarted the process, and have had no problems since. Loving 10.2!
