That I found when I updated to a further leak (I was just clearing it for you what the original asker was wondering about, or at least I think that's what it was). Also with the update, from 1949 the difference is of one .bar in the apps files but the core os apparently has some differences, so upgrading in this case wouldn't be as simple as the carrier data .bar sideload. (not the guy you were asking but figured I'd pitch in anyways lol)

Just got home. Long day. Thanks Georgefly97. You did figure out what I was trying to say. I had a brain fart when I wrote my question. So, yes it was the Device Monitoring function for the battery life that I meant.

I actually, should have asked if anyone noticed that the data mobile usage monitoring didn't appear to be measuring the right amount when I compare it to my carriers data use monitoring app. Note that I'm saying it appears to not be reporting the same. Is it possible that the device only measures downloads and the carrier app measures both up and down loading?

    Thanks.

    Thank you!

That was an issue, and 1949 does not have it. There is a solution for the OS that did have it. Open device monitor before any reboot or just after, and it was flawless.
Hmm it never occurred to me on my STA100-3

    1) That's not an update it doesn't update your phone. Everything BlackBerry did in this minor update was pretty much under the hood stuff and that one bar file won't make any difference.

    2) Yeah I'm also not sure I'm assuming he means device monitor but I've never had way issues.

If they're already on your previous hybrid, the one bar is the only change. Prove me wrong.

Ah, I've never watched the OS data monitor. Always focused on what my carrier computes, cause that's all that matters. It does monitor up and down, you can see that in data monitor. Not sure all apps show correctly though. Some android may not calculate.

The core can't be broken out, so the new hybrid is one bar file different from Ben's 1949 hybrid. No if's, no and's, no but's. Only way that core would change, is loading the full 2072 OS.
What do you mean by saying the Core OS can't be broken out?

It can't be broken out into a sideloadable file for a nondestructive update but it can be split using Sachesi.
When you split it with Sachesi you can take any other Z30 / Classic Radio signed file (at least a 10.3.1 radio) and combine them together into an Autoloader using Sachesi. And the Core OS will be in the new Hybrid.

You can on the other hand split using Sachesi and extract all of the apps besides for Core OS and Radio, and sideloadable them (or 1 in this case) but that won't update the Core like using an autoloader will.

The Core OS is the difference.

All of those little tweaks and fixes that BlackBerry has included in this update are in the Core OS.

    I am on 2072....
If I was on 1949 and side loaded the one data bar file my device wouldn't be on 2072 it would still be at 1949.

But thinking of your logic it would still be at 1154.

I'm still not sure what your saying?

Are you saying that my Hybrids have no Core OS?

An autoloader wipes a device so that would mean that I have no Core OS because my previous one was wiped and none was installed.

Wow that's pretty cool, battery life is great with no Core OS

Come down off the ledge. You really can gauge battery life already?

My bad, you are 100% correct. The core can be pulled to use in an autoloader.

I'm curious, why didn't you try the full OS for a couple days, and see how the 2073 radio is?

I have read 159 Post, Im on Z30 10.3.1.997 (DevOS) and load apps I need with sachibar (I loved linux more than windows). Any review for every OS Version 1154, 1949, 2072 (?) for 1154 review I have read "previous" long thread. Any comment about 2072. I have been jailing by google but I can use Cloud Explorer for accessing drive, use chrome to access my "keep". Battery life should be not an issue. this device powered 2880 mAh battery. on 10.3.1.997 can last for about 11 hours. I used 2 email account, BBM, twitter, phone call. whatsapps, listening 2-3 song a day. Most time I live in Jakarta and now have LTE service (I need to swap the sim card first). I wish to pick 2072 ... appreciate some review on this OS version.

    Honestly,

My teacher cancelled class because he was sick around the same time it leaked and only the Z10-2,3,4 was uploaded by SirJes at that time.
I knew it would probably be hours before the Z30 / Classic one to be uploaded.
And I was impatient to wait and didn't know if I would have time later, so I downloaded the Z10 autoloader took split the Debrick out of it and combined it with the Z30 939 Radio because I knew it was good and I loaded it on to my Z30.

I had my hybrid uploaded around the same time SirJes's regular 2072 autoloader was because he was uploading so many.

So far 2072 works well for me.

Battery drained for the first few hours so it took a drop of "settling in" time.

It got warm so I turned it off and waited about 10 minutes and since then battery has been stellar.

Can't give a full review because I've only had it installed for about a day but everything seems to be running smoothly, or at least as smooth as 1949 if not better.

Honestly don't see any improvement over the other recent leaks but probably a step up from 10.3.1.0997.

I am planning on posting a link of the full 2072 OS with 2073 Radio in a few hours time if you rather load up that one instead of the one with 939 Radio.

I'm thinking about making this thread include the Classic as well as the Z30 because they have the same OS and Radio files.

Don't change it yet, just want to know if you are able to when I'm ready?

When you split an autoloader you split the debrick and radio. Not the core. You can't extract a core os from a debrick. Debrick is core + apps + destructive.

If you had the core os by itself then you could load that over a previous version in an autoloader just like using sachesi.

I know, the Core is inside if the Debrick and cannot be taken out, but if you combine the Debrick into another autoloader the Core OS doesn't magically disappear it's still in the Debrick and the autoloader.

I think your radio is getting too far away from the core. I typically have the best performance when the two match, but not always.

There already are a ton of links in the OS thread for the full OS. Since this thread is about your hybrids, I'd think it best you focus on helping members with them here, and full OS peeps over there.
