I could find autoloader in OP 1949 with 939 radio, is it for Z30? How is this combination wrt 1950 radio?

Sorry I'm not exactly sure what your asking.

Are you asking if 1949 with 939 is a better combination than 1949 and 1950?

Hi. I'm so sorry, I guess I didn't make it clear enough. Did not mean to imply it wasn't friendly. I only meant it was a bit overwhelming, a bit too technical, a bit like being in a snowstorm, looking for a white dog. Hope this is clear. Crackberry is wonderful, but sometimes one craves focus, and focussed friendship, and the intimacy that then generates understanding. Crackberry is full of friendly information. But sometimes one needs more than just information. As the poet Eliot said, "What knowledge is lost in information?"
One craves a quiet place where true understanding comes with the information.
I respect & appreciate what you're saying, very much.
Please try to understand what I'm saying.
In the end, we are humans first, forum members, after.

I second this point. I think one way of looking at this is like going to a house party. Everyone is there to have a good time, socialise and funny enough, sometimes, you meet people with a bit more knowledge on fav topics than you but still humble enough to have a good conversation with. The thing with a house party is that not everyone can fit in the same room or frankly, feel like they connect with certain people at the party. That's kind of what this thread is like. I've conversed with some of the people on this thread before and I like the vibe. The other threads are excellent. I just connect with these folks better that's all.

Hi benbraun322, thanks for helping us noobs out!
i recently wiped my Z30 and loaded up the latest 1949 leak and also installed the apps that came in a separate zip. I also did a full restore but I dont feel like my device is running smoothly. If i wipe my Z30 and use your autoloader 1949, do i need to also load those apps i mentioned previously?
Hi Mikey88Chaos. I'm no benbraun322 that's for sure but I have been learning quickly, and I thought I might just ask, what were these apps that came in a separate zip?
When I loaded benbraun322's 1949 leak a day and a half ago, it contained everything needed to make my Z30 work except (obviously) my personal apps (like Sketchbook, Reddit In Motion, etc). There was nothing to do except set up the phone to my liking, get my apps from BBW, & start using the phone.
Hope this helps even a little.
    Cheers.

I'm sorry Mikey but what apps are you talking about again...
    Are they all from BBW?
    Are they android apps?
    Or side loaded Bar files?

Well I loaded this last night and did a full restore through link. Every thing works as smooth as butter. I only have one issue and that is that the phone keeps trying to download the drivers for the media card and then fails. I have no access to my media card. I tried a different card same issue. I can't even reformat the card in the phone. Any one know of a way to fix this or do I need to start from scratch?

I would have posted this on the findings and fixes thread but since this is a hybrid I thought this was the appropriate place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there.
I had this exact same situation. I had a 64 gig card and I kept getting the download fails. Tried to reformat in my Z30. That didn't work either.
So what I figured out -- this probably is your situation also -- is that the card needed reformatting to FAT32. Your card is probably -- as mine was -- ExFat or NTFS.
So what I did was copy my files first, then, reformatted the card using my laptop.
I used the wee program on this page to do that.

    http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?guiformat.ht

Then I put my copied files back into the reformatted card, popped the card into my Z30, and started up. Voil! Everything working.
    That was it.
I did this when I installed benbraun322's 1154, and have since gone to 1949, without any card issues.
    Hope this helps a bit.
    Regards!

Thank you for the option, but I believe I found the culprit. BB will not allow this leak to download the actual driver so you have to side load it. Takes less time to do it than reformatting card. Here is the mega link to the bar file. My media card started working instantly after this. didn't eve have to reboot.

Hello IAM013. Good to see you.
I updated to the new one only about 30 hours ago. Was distracted at the last moment & realised I'd forgotten to take the card out. Didn't make a difference, @ least in my case. Everything was & continues to be, just fine.

Edit: I looked through a lot of threads for information about this subject before installing 1154 last week, and came away unresolved, as opinion seemed quite split (not necessarily 50/50 but split). So I inquired of benbraun322 for his input, just to triangulate (that interchange is either somewhere in this thread or possibly the old one). He said he personally takes it out beforehand, but that it's probably not necessary.

I have never removed the card when doing autoloaders. No issues, the only time you would need to do anything with an SD card would be if you encrypted the SD card, you would need to unencypt it first or you will loose the data.

    Completely agree with Mrjmc99.
If it is not encrypted it is perfectly fine to leave it in.

I personally take it out but I'm crazy there's really no need.
If it's encrypted you need to decrypt it before the upgrade.

I believe the 939 Radio is better FOR MOST.
Some people using 1155 sometimes stop getting SMS messages and have to fix it with a reboot.

But if you are using 1155 and have no problems whatsoever, then don't fix what ain't broke.

So Ursus Rufus posting a complicated work around downloading apps for formatting when a simple read of the OP in the leak post for 1949 had all the required info makes me really question the wisdom of following his advice. May the big bad wolf is right about his reservations.

Hi. I am sorry you disapproved of my formatting post. I assure you, that although I'm a newb, I did not post anything that I had not done myself. It may have sounded complicated by way of explication, but it was very simple to do. I'm just not very good with words.

I merely explained a very simple procedure I had done to get my SD card to the Fat32 format. I'm fully aware there are usually several ways to solve a problem. And some solutions are more elegant than others. My solution was perhaps not very elegant, or whatever, but it was not difficult, and it worked. I wasn't pretending to be an expert, I was just offering help based on personal experience. I think that's entirely in keeping with the spirit of the forum.

Not everyone has time to read through or absorb all of the information in Crackberry, or every post or thread that's available. We are all human, are we not? I'm sorry you felt put upon by what I posted.
    Sincerely,
    Eric

I enjoy being a member of this community. But sometimes posters seem kind of mean towards other posters, for having made what are actually just trivial, & not unfriendly or uncivilised mistakes.
That hurts to see, and makes me question whether it is wise to stay, at all.

After all, this is not even real. It's just words, information, and anonymity. It cannot touch or be touched. So why should it hurt?

Ursus had this issue on 1154 a couple of weeks back.
And at that time Darcy did not post the link to the driver.
So the only workaround was to reformat the Micro SD to FAT 32, but now that the driver is available, cards formatted to exFAT will work if you sideload the driver and there is no need to reformat if you know how to sideload.
