even using the same autoloader it did not changed the status to uninstall........
even I went to berryleaks and could not find the step by step
I posted a step by step instruction above.
Did you click on refresh in the BB10 App Manager after successfully installing the bar?
If that does not work for you it would help if you would describe a bit more exactly which file you are trying to uninstall.

That instead of editing your post, you double and triple posting which is against any forums' rules. Also you usually asks the same questions over and over again, as you need a very thorough step-by-step instructions. Maybe you shouldn't play with such things that you don't understand.

hey man..........I thought the reason of the community was to come here help others and by same times learn something new............and in the process I have done some stuff that works and the same stuff doesn't work so there must be a reason for that.........

if it is too painfull helping then just say so.............I'll go somewhere else...........even better..........I'll close my account..........

You can take it personally. There was nothing against you, just a common problem for many. The community tends to help, but when you have an app with a very easy GUI, you get step-by-step instructions, but you would need bunch of screenshot illustrating it, then you maybe tinkering such thing that wasn't supposed for your use. Many of the case these functions don't have instructions because these are features for those who can figure out on their own how they work. And they know what they're doing. What will happen if you mess something up? You'll come back and ask for help again. This is experimental stuff, exceptionally removing components from the OS that you shouldn't. If you can't use a GUI don't mess with core apps. Use the OS as you got, or learn by trial and error. It's faster to click on every button than get an answer here.

If you want to learn something then put time to figure it out. Some shows the advanced method, some shows the novice way which I prefer to follow. But don't expect anyone to peel the egg and feed you.

Some of us like step-by-step instructions with screenshot, doesn't mean we're less capable. Just gives us a point of reference.

These apps doesn't have an extreme design for the UI, also doesn't operate on a multiple level, hundreds of option included hierarchy. This is generic computer usage capability, and maybe some additional logical thinking. It's not rocket science, just common intelligence about problem solving. If you don't have that you won't be capable to solve the caused problems due to the inability to think in a causal way.

This is a great thread! I already removed the HUB, weather and games icons. Im wondering if I remove a few others if Ill be ok. I basically want to remove the ICON and keep the functionality (is that baked into the OS or something and these are just the app files to access them, like obviously HUB still works) Any clarification would be very appreciated.

Primarily Im looking to remove the following icons
    PHONE
    CAMERA
    CLOCK
    MAPS
    SEARCH
    VOICE CONTROL
    STORY MAKER
    DOCS TO GO
    ADOBE READER
    HELP
    SETUP
    SIM SERVICES

    Thanks again

I don't think any of these are just icons. Removing them (if it's even possible) would remove the entire thing.

I'm beginning to wonder if there is any value to taking the time to removing anything. I've stripped the device down and haven't noticed any performance improvement. Sure it frees up some space but boot time and spinning clocks are just not an issue as it it was in OS7 and lower. What have other users found?

I'd like to wipe bb maps - doesn't work over here anyway but is a default extension for some apps.
The question is what then happens to those apps using bb maps? Like Foursquare. Will it get a dead-end or start asking for another navigation app like Waze?

There's no way of setting default apps atm, at least not until 10.2 is official

Interesting point. But, even I removed compass I still can use compass from other application. Not sure with 4sq though.

I could cope with that if the question "what map-app to use?" is even asked.

My belief is that if it's in the OS, it's in for a reason. Hopefully BlackBerry will start slimming the OS and get BB10 down to 1.5Gb or so.

Problem is that I cannot tell what these BAR files do as the function they provide is not missed whether installed, or not.

For me its not so much to save some space or performance, Ive never really had issues with either.

I just want to eliminate some icons and keep things clean, i hate when they dont let you get rid of or hide something.

Has anyone EVER seen someone use the newstand app or whatever on an iphone? I hated that empty icon so much, I guess we dont have it the worst on BB haha

I usually just bury the icon in a folder of unused stuff. The icons don't usually don't create any boot time increase that I've noticed by removing them.
