If you carrier offers a newer version, ie: 10.2.2.xxxx, you will be offered upgrade through BB Link and likely OTA.

The easiest way to downgrade is to use an autoloader for the version you wish to revert to. Treating it as one would an autoloader upgrade (i.e. security wiping, not betting the farm on the backup, etc.) is the cleanest and safest method.

To get an old autoloader, one can search the forums (if it was leaked, which only means that it's exactly the same files as the carriers have, but released earlier), create an autoloader with Sachesi (break open the two debrick bar files for your target version and make an autoloader), or simply ask. Some people, myself included, hoard autoloaders.

My friend, i tryed 10.3.1 but i wanna roll back to official 10.2.1, i search the forums but couldn't find the autoloader. Can you please provide me with more info about downgrading please?

Why don't you try 10.3.0? It's way better than 10.3.1 (for now). If you want to reload, here is the autoloader

You can only upgrade using sachesi.
To downgrade, you have to use autoloader

If you have a computer and LINK, just use it to reinstall the OS. It installs only the latest official version for your device.

But you most likely will not be able to restore (at least not easily).
It doesn't work for me. The Link said that I have the latest os.

Can you provide more instructions? Thank you

Please, can you provide an autoloader for 10.2.2 for z10 STL 100-2?

    Thank you

I prefer to use the "clean" version to reinstall an official system so I have chosen to softbrick my Passport. I don't know what is a "correct" way to soft brick it but I have downloaded an autoloader and disconnected the wire while flashing the "OS, User Data" (was about 8%), then my phone couldn't boot but only show a black screen with a red light flashing.

Blackberry Link did reconize it and redownload/reinstall the official firmware

I have just bought a Z30 STA 00-5 I loaded the first 10.3.2 leak as it ran smooth on my 100-3. Then the neext day loaded the 10.3.2.500 leak and now phone is un-usable, not quite bricked but might as well be. I tried link it downloads 10.3.1.2527 or whatever that officail OS is but it keeps crashing. I tried to use an auto loader for that and an older OS it connect that first ram or rom line comes on then just crashes. I feel like there is a sachesi way to fix it but can't remember or find it. I would be greatfull for any help.

If you really want to go back to official OTA update, here what u do
    1. Learn out which is the latest official BlackBerry 10 OS in your region. For mine is 10.3.1.1779

    2. Download autoloader for your device, the lower version than office version you r having, like I have OTA of 10.3.1.1779 so in my case I will download at least 10.3.1.1770 or lower

    3. Install your autoloader you just downloaded, check for software update.
Boom you have the latest official OTA update for your phone.

Just wondering, but should the first post be updated to note that once you load up 10.3.2.680 or newer, there is no downgrading to 10.3.1 or lower at all anymore?

Seems like that should be an important point to make now.

Not that I would do this, but am interested. If one factory resets their device on 10.3.2, what OS loads?

Good question. Most carriers are on 10.3.2 now, so it would be fine. But not all carriers have officially updated. In those cases, I'm thinking the reset would fail the same as on older autoloader would.

the only reason i clicked on this thread is because i saw the title and thought "thats giving a whole lot of newbies a false sense of security". I agree with you, and I think the title of the thread needs to be changed to include "How to downgrade from 10.3.x.xxx or below...", or something to that effect.
