This would be outstanding if it happened. It would really show Chen willing to revisit past decisions and show BlackBerry as a company that puts customers first; following through on promises made.

PlayBook assets showed up in 2.0 originally. Did they ever get omitted? This might just be legacy stuff. Do we know this is new?

    This.

Someone with intervening OS releases should check to see if the same lines appear in them as well.

The fellow who mentioned that it might have something to do with bridge may also be onto something. It would help to know the purpose of the section(s) in which these lines are found.

Bla1ze just opened up a few cans. After seeing all the comments about high memory usage. I doubt the PB is gonna get 10. Anything.

Thorsten didn't want to put resources working on PB. I have a strong feeling that PB certainly can run BB10 or maybe a tweaked BB10 version.

Could it be a new version of the Playbook? Keeping in mind that Thorsten said that the PB wasn't capable of running BB10 smooth enough.

It may just be a unification of some of the code base to allow for porting of newer apps to the PlayBook. As BlackBerry 10 has gotten to higher versions, the number of apps that are available to both devices has gotten smaller.

Whether BB10 makes it to the tablet or not, the existence of some newer OS versions are a good sign.

Ugh, it's really not polite to get peoples' hopes up so early on a Monday Morning.

I've only had two cups of coffee and one of tea, I'm not ready to deal with this kind of potential disappointment.

LMAO!!! Talk about coincidence. Just as I'm reading this thread, my PlayBook (which is always with me, usually in my laptop bag) starts chiming that the battery is dying lol time to plug it in and wait patiently

Maybe it goes without saying, but... have similar PlayBook (1024 x 600) references been present in previous 10.x builds / leaks? If this is a "new addition" one could assume PlayBook support or a new 1024 x 600 device in the works.

I do seem to remember xsacha finding a similar thing in various BB10 apps, so yes.

Well there's a can of worms opened up. There are no other BlackBerry devices that use that particular resolution and I don't see a good reason they would make a new one that didn't fall in line 720p/1080p displays.

Perhaps something is being tested internally. Regardless of what Thor stated, tablets are not dying out. BlackBerry has recently stated that they still feel they have a small stake in that market. If they do nothing hardware OR software wise, they are effectively relinquishing that stake and it will be even more difficult for them to try to get it back later on down the road.

That said the worst thing they could do is admit to working on BB10 PlayBook. If it's gonna happen, they won't admit it until it's good and ready.

Finally, a voice of reason. As the owner of four PlayBooks, I would wish it would happen. But then that whole "if its too good to be true" thing keeps poking me in the side of the head. I'll go crawl back to my corner and continue playing with my PB.

Heard that this OS was a 10.3 branch that got cancelled. Anything in it pointing to BlackBerry 10 on a PB is not guaranteed they even pursued it past February.
