Clearly RAM has never been a problem. Dev Alpha's with 1GB of RAM were reported even running 10.2.1. Remember there are some Q10's (Dev Alpha C's) with 1GB RAM too.
RAM usage has only been decreasing.
Xsacha...now that the playbook is end of life how's about spilling the beans on what you know about those holes you found in the playbook OS??...for the good of the playbook community..perhaps someone else can do something with it??

Dev Alpha C's feature the same hardware (and same amount of memory) as the Q10 (SQN100-3 hardware) in a different case.

I'm fairly certain an exasperated Xsacha already made it clear, several times, that there are none in his responses to 'Quack'.

I'm sure there are security holes but they won't let us change the core OS so we are still pretty much stuck with what we have. I think I once asked if we could hijack the kernel to hotboot android or something but I forgot why it's not really possible. I think we'd need an exploit to root and another to exploit the kernel. The first may be possible, the second may be quite tricky? Not entirely sure.

Someone like Kevin needs to pop the question to John Chen asking him if he's decided to revitalize the Playbook, if is there any possibility that we will see BB10 or some variation of BB10 OS on the Playbook any time soon?

It would be nice if Chen said something himself. Although I doubt he wants to touch the thing with a fifty meter pole.

Lol I would love a direct statement from the CEO as well! But I agree it's very unlikely.

Someone at work was trying to convince me that the "end of support of Playbook OS 2.x... could mean exactly that. the current OS would not be supported anymore; HOWEVER, support for BB10 for Playbook would begin. Lol She went on to try and use logic to explain BlackBerry did NOT announce the "end of support of the actual Playbook".

I also wondered if the Playbook is a dead deal why no one leaked the last working or semi-working BB10 OS for it at RIM (BlackBerry)? It certainly wouldn't be support by BlackBerry if people installed it but it would allow people who spent good money on their PB's to decide if they want to give a semi-unstable OS a chance knowing the risks.

Because it didn't exist. BlackBerry never worked on a version for the playbook. It would have leaked if they had.

It exists, at least in some form.

Playbook BB10 OS builds were sighted in the same way that OS builds are spotted today.

Any chance you could dig up such a sighting? I'm skeptical of BlackBerry ever putting any serious attempt into bringing BB10 over to the playbook.

For John Chen to make a personal statement regarding the absolute death of the PlayBook, he first has to care about customer feedback and customer loyalty. You'd be more likely to get BlackBerry 10 on the PlayBook.

I used my almighty Z30 to create this CrackBerry madness!

Really? So why did it appears some months ago on html5test.com (BB OS 10, section tablet, up comings)? Something exists, but we cannot know if it's a complete OS or just some browser and basic functionalities test. But actually I cannot even find OS 10.3 (or 10.2.2) for the Z10.
Or at least, it did exist...

Probably doesn't work any better than the dev alpha OS someone put on it. Yes it was on it and ran but that was about it. You really wouldn't want to use it like that.
