You can't make the UI appear on the full screen but if you play a video via "Play On" then it will fill up the screen (assuming the file and the TV have the same aspect ratio).

Via HDMI - I don't think so. YOU can do that via DLNA if your TV has that option.

are you saying that via Miracast connection the UI will be in 1080p instead of 720x720? I highly doubt it. Miracast should be exactly same thong as HDMI but wireless.

    Is the aspect ratio proper?
Can hit the info button on your TV and see what resolution the source is?

Normal UI cannot be full screen, as this would not translate from the phone's touchscreen.

To get pictures and videos fullscreen, open the respective apps (Videos or Pictures, not File Manager), then long press on what you want to open. Hit "Play On" in the sidebar and select HDMI in the next screen. You only need to do this once.

It also works or will be working for videos on the mobile YouTube site. I can't remember if this was introduced with 10.2 or the MR.
