    Hi everyone

I guess it has been asked many many times, but I can't find the answer through tons of pages.
I'm going to Berlin in November and I need to save an offline version of the city map so I can use the GPS while there without charging my data. I was thinking about Google Maps because it's free and you can save even small pieces of map. The only problem is that, of you want to do so, you need to login into Google System.
In the past I remember I read that for doing that you don't need the whole Google Play Services (but maybe I'm wrong) but just a specific part, but I can't find which one. Or maybe there was a patched version? Or if you know a free native app that would be even better!

Basically, I think you got my problem. Can you help me please? By the way, if someone from Berlin will help me I'll pay him a beer

I apologise for my bad English!

    Bye!!!

@damien: thank you very much, you found it! I'll let you know if that works!

@others: I've heard about NavFree, but I've even hard that just one state map is free and you can't download just a city map, am I right?

Thank you all for your help, much appreciated!

I have NavFree in the US. Yes, it works. Takes a while to download the maps, so don't be in a hurry. You get a few free and then you must pay...

You can simply download the map of Germany - includes Berlin as well. :-) I have a couple of countries on my phone - all for free.
