Great help here, thanks to amirnabilkamelsaad! I am running Q10,1925 leak with Maps 7.02.... can't help myself from trying the upgrade to 7.5....SNAP it doesn't work and get's the Network connection error! UGHHHHHH

To clarify, Maps 7.5 works fine...slower than 7.02, but the "Maps History" triggers the "No network connection" error even though it has my account info. Deleted 7.5 and re-installed 7.0.2 and it's working again...YMMV but as of 1/2/2014 i"ll have to ignore that temptation to upgrade.

First you need the right version of google maps, 7.02 to be exact.
Then install all 3 files as well in this package. The google music is to invoke the google login page and once you're in you can delete it afterwards.
Now, I didn't make any of these and I don't take credit for any of them, so thank the community here. I'll do my best find the references.

Enjoy and don't forget to thank Moneytoo and the rest for their hard work and dedication.

P.S.: this has been and still is working on 10.2.0.x and not just 10.2.1.x
Just confirming that it worked for me. 7.5 maps working and Google play music works just fine.

Google Maps 7.5.0 with Q10 10.2.1.1925. Do the same that Minimize to Active frame by swipe up then go to another apps then back to Google Maps. Everything is so smooth. No problem at all

I experienced the same with Q10 on .1925, Google Maps 7.5 works great but I am not able to log-in for Maps history under settings. It does display the user name for my account but i receive the network connection error when trying to go to the history. The 7.0.2 version works fine as posted above.

Then delete that google maps and follow the instructions provided, they are enough along with all the feedback on this forum to help you set it up right.

No good mate. Followed your instructions. Install google maps, it comes up "unable to install app". the icon appears anyway, it'll ask me to Decline or Accept access, i choose Accept, it goes "Initialising. Please Wait...", then closes. Someone suggested i use Clean Manager to clear residual. I did that, still it doesn't help. Pretty much out of ideas. And yes, i've installed those 3 other google files and logged into my google account via google music.

In my stl100-2 Google maps works fine but with my gf's stl100-1, it's often hanged in the middle of rendering the maps, the cure is to minimize the app to active frame and then open it again. Tried uninstalling and reinstall, still the same.

I know that if you use the sideloading method of chrome you can add and delete installed applications including android ports, delete the maps you have (all the gmaps on your phone along with the provided files), restart your phone and check with chrome and make sure everything has been deleted then, start with the steps provided. Should work then...
