    Yikes. Pretty much?

    Just kidding.

Never had a problem. The only issue is the time spent setting things up again.
Yes, between taking the backup, running the autoloader, and restoring everything I'd say it took the better part of three hours.

And I said "pretty much" not because I lost much of anything, but I had a tough time getting my Google accounts to connect up afterwards. I was eventually successful but it took multiple attempts.

Yup. The last one took about the same. Made the mistake os starting about just before midnight.

Wife wakes up at 3, says WTF are you doing? Update honey, can't stop now. Rolls her eyes and goes back to bed.

yea the restore does take forever... especially if a lot of info... another reason why I choose not to anymore and go the gmail sync route for contacts and sms backup. all pics and other "important" stuff is on the sd card already, apps take a couple mins to download. Besides letting the phone's new OS "settle" with syncing... i have it down to an honest 45 mins or less from plug in to working and back to business as usual.

You don't realize how much you use your phone until you can't touch it for 3 hours.

Need a spare Z10 to get me thru the down times.

Latest version of Link takes good, quick backups. Personally, I just restored app data and media after I loaded 10.2.0.1761, then after that was done I restored Settings. Pretty much everything came back great.

I did exactly the same, no issues for me. Link is quicker than it used to be too and 1761 is nice. Good luck
