Also I though Link was destructive. How do you perform the update none destructive via link?
    Posted via CB10
Link upgrades are non-destructive. The only time it's not is when you chose to do a factory reset (or something to that effect) that is not standard and not the prompt that Link gives you to upgrade.

I did the non-destructive Link update on the Z30 and System sits at 2.72 GB. Maybe Link does it cleaner? I've noticed that people have been reporting that it's only taking minutes to OTA update. For me,

10.2.1.2156 to 10.3.1.1581 (1 GB) took 2.5 hours via Link
10.3.1.1581 to 10.3.1.1767 (80 MB, Z30 specific release) took 30 minutes via Link
10.3.1.1767 to 10.3.1.1784 (780 MB) took 30 minutes via Link
Must be that BlackBerry10 OTA doesn't release that extra memory once it's done, whereas via Link, it frees all of it up? :/

    Hello boys and girls,
Okay this is the first time ever with BlackBerry 10 that my phone froze a couple of times today. All 3 times it happened while I am doing nothing with it. I have no password so it didn't froze while swiping up to unlock. The swipe for unlock is OK. It happened right after that. All the times when trying to swipe from home screen to the apps . while being in the first site of my apps I could do nothing more.
I installed my OS using autoloader, did not perform any backup installation and I don't use android apps. The wird part of it is that I could do hard resets and didn't have to take the battery out. Have been almost a week with this OS.
    Any ideas?
    Regards

I think it's because it extracts it on the Windows side, then sideloads to the phone after that, so there's no extra space needed on the BlackBerry, maybe?

Just giving my input on the hard reset. When I do one, I only hold the volume buttons until the screen turns off, then it goes through its restart. I believe that's all that's necessary. Been doing it that way since I had a Z10

I found that doing the upgrade online, (web-upgrade) directly from BlackBerry website is also destructive, and wipes the device.

The new boot process is more informative, as it tells you what part of the boot process it's in with a text message at the bottom of the screen. It makes the wait more understandable.

Great OS so far. Had no issue with it yet, and have been on it since the day it appeared on the CrackBerry forums.

Can you select all by long pressing on the date in the Hub with this version? I cannot with 2558.

    Don't leave us hanging.

How does it not work? Do you get an error? Does it just not pull up? Does it do anything?

    Got to give us more.

    Because, maps works for me.

My only issue with Blend at the moment is that BES IT policy prevents it from displaying my "work" profile. Updating BES to 10.2.44 to see if it fixes.

Just to be clear, not putting down the boot process at all. I love the squircle they use and I like that with 10.3.1 they made it more informative!

I'm just stating that the squircle in the boot process is not the same Squircle that everyone talks about missing. The Squircle we're talking about was introduced in a leak and then removed in the final release. It replaced the loading circle and rotated inside of itself :P
