what about most people that don't open crackberry how they suppose to know?
theoretically ota should work for everybody the same practically it doesn't,that's hardware issue
The point is, the developers cannot accommodate every single device state when coding for an OTA updater. There are simply too many variables.

It's no different from a fresh Windows install every now and then to clear the debris.

The Android 5.01/5.02/5.1/5.1.1 update fiasco that is going on right now is very similar. Updates are being pulled, OTAs are failing, and many are having to resort to clean installs to get things working properly. It's been out since November and so far only 5.4% of users have got it due to glitches and carrier issues.

The bottom line is that major updates are hard to do. The BlackBerry developers are no less prone to the difficulties as the Google developers.

Even beyond device settings, the "Blackberry Runtime" (different from the Android Runtime) is a 3GB cocktail of global android settings, permissions, and hub-linked account data. You want variables? There are about a thousand in there alone. There is also a "system applications" item, which is another 2GB witch's brew of settings, permissions, and parameters for native apps.

Beyond that, you have whatever unholy concoction of apps you alone have - some of which are messing with hub notifications.

    It's ugly in there.

And I dare say to those who don't believe sometimes a full wipe is beneficial: with what Conite has described above - you can imagine how, if bits and pieces of the cocktail are left behind, that could really mess up the functionality of the new OS that is being installed. This is why sometimes a nondestructive install using Sachesi or an OTA install can have problems.

Security wipe, nuke, autoloader, blitz... black magic rituals... and the phone still vibrates after call answer! Bug present from 1151 to 2726, in all versions, no exception. Main device function broken and never fixed. Phone works perfectly fine in 10.2.x on all legacy devices.

Oh Peevish, leave these newcomers alone, you're scaring them all off again!

No, I write multi-post quotes on a PC and they look exactly as they should be. CB app shows them incorrectly for some reason. I noticed that long time ago. Nothing I can do about it. Quote open and close tags are in correct place.

No technical explanation was ever given why Security Wipe is necessary. This belief is part of a popular guessing game around BB10 installation process.
Odd, when I look at the code for your quote it shows up as the end quotes not being in the right places :/

My bad, I fixed my previous post. For some reason I was thinking Security Wipe and nuking were the same.. I have zero idea why, but I've fixed that.

I wish they would put a dislike button, I bet it would get used quite a bit,
It would get used ridiculously much, but would also get abused absurdly unfortunately. .

You're are confusing nuke with security wipe. Two totally different things. Please do not chime in if you have no clue what you are talking about.

No such problems you mentioned on my devices since 10.3.1. My phones are working better than on 10.2.1n. I prayed for bugs but so far all these 10.3.n leaks failed me. I am giving the current leak a miss, I am tired and need a break from all the good stuff I am getting in 10.3.

It's not me only. Some of the threads discussing this very same issue:

    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...swered-996653/
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...pdate-1008246/

Same thing happens on every 10.3.1.x leak or official on my Z10 STL100-3, including the latest 2726. Reports include Z30 and Q10 models also. Will test 10.3.2 leak soon to see if the vibration is still there. It's not consistent. Sometimes it's 1 cycle only (acceptable, kind of), but on most incoming calls it vibrates 2 cycles after you accept the call. Bug is only present when the phone is set to ring + vibration. The worst part is the other side actually hears the vibrating phone, I got questions where the loud noise is coming from.

    who said it's blackberry's fault?
do you read my post? i said " i actually have credit."
I resolved it by resetting my phone ( i also mentioned that) and if it is not bug how do you call it? why it's fixed by just resetting the passport?
do you have any thoughts about that?
