That was the case in previous builds as well. I would guess this has something to do with the timing. I'm hoping that they will tweak it to fix this. At least have the ability to fix white eyes similar to red eye fix.

yup this happens with me EVERYTIME, it really sucks taking pictures of people with flash...

everything else turns out amazing with this camera but they HAVE to fix this flash exposure.

    I'm on the Latest 10.2 build 1371

    Same problem here.

I'm no camera expert, but someone on these forums stated that this could be a hardware problem caused by placing the flash too close to the lens.

IF that's a true statement, then it will take some impressive software wizardry to bring down the incidence rate of this "white/golden eyes" issue. :-(

Yep, I'm on 1371 and I get the "whites of their eyes" using flash as well. Without flash, however, I find the camera quite good. I have taken some incredible looking pics.

When indoors, however, AND, coupled with the fact that I have learned not to use flash for the reasons you cite, pics leave a lot to be desired. Sometimes changing up the mode helps. Many times it does not however.

Some attention to tweaking is probably warranted, as you point out.

If it was the flash too close to the lens your pictures would get a lot of halo or too bright that colors would not be visible, I think it is timing issue.

Have you tried to edit the photo and use the Red Eye feature in Enhance.

No don't think so, I have 1047 and during that version of the camera, I still experienced the same, I even put on the camera from 200 and still the same, but not as bad.
