I made it exFat and couldn't access it as a network drive. Downloaded a fat32 formatter, formatted my card and now everything is back to normal.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to try this. Luckily I had a backup SD card in my Surface Pro.

Do you have a link for the FAT32 formatter software you used?

were you ever able to get it work? i to have latest 10.3 leak and it wont load the drivers for my 64 gb kingston exfat. ive read I could format it to fat32 but here it can cause stability issues in the future.

would like to get this to work without having to load 10.2.1 then having to reload 10.3

edit: got impatient and loaded 10.2.1. put in new kingston 64 gb micro sd xc and it formatted and added all the folders and stuff. loaded it into my win8.1 machine and copy and pasted my music into the music folder.

loaded up 10.3 and put in the card. came up, d/l'n media driver... then failed. gave me same error as before. its weird. it looks like it only works in 10.2.1 but its not available in 10.3

looks like I got to go back to my 32 gb card till 10.3 fixed exfat support
So far no one has been able to get exFAT to work on 10.3. Right now it's not looking to good in regards to finding a solution for it.

I'm guessing because the build of 10.3 that we are using right now was developed before the official 10.2.1 update that enables exFAT that BlackBerry didn't put the functionality into it. If we are lucky though, all builds of 10.3 that were developed after the 10.2.1 update will have the exFAT capabilities.

All I know is that I've been really tempted to go back to 10.2.1 but I'm just too lazy to do it lol

@Thurask - Are you running the exFat formatted card on your Z30 under 10.3.x? Or was your display above/previously on a 10.2.1.x device?

Well if you want, one can always setup their device to go through a proxy server, or just a windows machine that is active as a hotspot.

Use a network traffic logger program to keep track of the connections made. Plug the MicroSD exFAT card in, then the download starts. You will be able to see where the connection is going to.

Tried it, it's all tunneled. Perhaps someone more skilled can go past that.

Good question. Hopefully someone has an answer for you. I ended up switching back to 10.2 because I really needed the 64GB card in my phone and didn't want to format it to Fat32. As for features over 10.2. The camera is definitely one. Not being able to take pictures in Panorama or while recording a video sucks. The hub triage and quick actions in the hub are so much better than 10.2 where there is no hub triage. I know there is more but that's all I can remember right now lol. Sometimes I'm very tempted to go back to 10.3 but the SD card keeps me on 10.2

I am on 10.2.2 and exfat does not work on my Z10. I used SDformatter and it automatically put it in exfat format. now it gives problem with sd card see setting/storage...

I did install exfat bar I saw in other tread before putting sd card back in but does not work. Maybe I should uninstall that bar so it can download the correct driver? Maybe that is the trigger?

So, can anyone confirm this or deny:

10.2.1, officially, supports sd cards up to 64 gb but in Fat32 only?
I got 32 gb card which was formatted by BlackBerry z10 to fat 32.
This of course makes a limitation to 4gb file size.

    No ntfs/exFat support?

10.3. On other hand supports exfat?
    Or what?

Sorry if I am mistaken as I didn't follow the thread

10.2.1 does support exfat so you can use a 64GB card. I'm currently on it and using a 64GB formatted in the exfat format. Took the card out of the package, popped it in my Z30 and I was good to go.

Well, I had issues after installing the leak with my SanDisk 64gb extreme pro card. It wouldn't format the card (it wouldn't even recognize it) so I had to format it in my pc. Then my z30 recognized it but wouldn't allow me to access it.

After multiple formats in the phone (it would format the card but not initialize it), it finally kicked in.

That's weird I have a SanDisk 64GB Ultra card and it had no problems reading as soon as I put it in. I wonder if the extreme series is formatted differently somehow

I just bought a SanDisk Ultra 64 GB card yesterday and it is working fine on my Z10 STL-3 on 10.3.0.1052.

Bought it, popped in my Z10, let it format, removed it, put it in my Win8.1 PC, copied everything off my old SD card onto the SanDisk one and it's been working great.

No, I'm saying that if you'd like your 64Gb (or larger) SD/XC card to actually be stable and not randomly decide to lose the data on it you need to reformat it back to exFAT and only use it in devices that are compatible with exFAT.
Thanks for clarification as I lost my data! I was using FAT32 when originally was formatted from exFAT.
