This OS is not giving me a problem (I hope it won't), but, what if?
Is this a feature or might be change after a few more builds?
If this is a "feature" from BlackBerry, I just don't get it, why the owner of the device has no freedom on its own device.

I value the ability to switch OSs much more than I value the new theft-deterrent feature. If someone steals my phone, whether or not they get any use out of it is irrelevant to me, so long as the remote security wipe is possible. This feature seems like a poor use of resources.

I don't really see the big deal in this - IOS does the same thing and hundreds of millions of people seem to be ok with it.

Same as always 10 tries, should be 10 tries on password for device and 5 tries for bb id. eventually there are plans to include option to increase the number of tries.

    Thanks.

How many attempts do I have to enter the right password and/or my BBID?
What happen if I put the wrong passwort/BBID too many times?

I couldn't agree with you more! First BlackBerry fans were complaining we didn't have a feature like this, and now BlackBerry makes it and those same people complain they have a feature like this. You can't win lol

Is it possible to backup the NVRAM before installing 10.3.2.500 and then restore it when needed? Something like EFS in Android?

The device owner should be able to do this to his own device, shouldn't he? Obviously a thief will not have this NVRAM backup (which is stored outside the device).

Exactly! I dont understand the road BlackBerry is going right now....
What if someone with a used Q10 and 10.3.2 will try out 10.2...:/ come on!

    Posted via Q10Bold
0.05% of users would ever downgrade from 10.3.2 (when fully released) to 10.2 or even 10.3.1, so what is it that you don't understand? There is little to no issue with the direction BlackBerry is taking; the only issue being that 10.3.2 is not yet ready for the masses.

It seems to me the only people making a big stink about this are the chronic flashers; the people obsessed with flashing leaks back and forth ad nauseam. Get over it; you either flash this and stick with it, or stay the hell away from 10.3.2 for now.

Think of this for a moment : would you want thieves to actually be able to roll back to 10.3.1 just to defeat BlackBerry's Anti-Theft feature and use your stolen phone?

Remember, only 10.3.2 has this feature, what's the use of this feature if
you allow previous versions to run?

I like this new feature. It worried me a bit that the most secure phone don't have an anti theft method, which is what I see this as.

Not with any tool that is currently available. I'm not sure you would want that kind of code out in the wild - a little reverse engineering could uncover quite a bit.

No offense to anyone here but I think we've established that most iOS users and BlackBerry users don't necessarily have the same beliefs on most subjects.

Conite do you think you can do me a favor and see if the device will accept another side loaded Radio file that is earlier than 10.3.2?

    Like 10.3.1.939 for instance.

I'm curious to see if this blacklist is only in affect for OS or if it is affecting Radios as well.

    Its a good feature...

If my phone gets stolen ever... I can be assured tha the thief cannot use my phone since he doesn't have the BlackBerry ID credentials...

I'll be happy for see the thief helpless

    Good security feature!

To all those complaining... guys its a beta OS... leak.. You accept the risk when installing this... Kindly do not whine and take responsibility!

I was able to get 10.3.1.997 installed, however it kept the 10.3.2 radio, It I was unable to flash any other radio, I'm surprised I got the dev 10.3.1 installed at all

Why is that "you can't revert back to older os" a big deal if this OS really satisfy a user with them saying "this is best and buttery smooth OS so far", "updated calendar combining 10.2 and 10.3 feature", etc etc. Who would want to go back to old one if this build better than the rest?

    Pasaporte Pilipinas | SQW100-1/10.3.2.500
No big deal at all, given time they will get use to it, and then they will embrace it wholeheartedly. And then if BB removes the blacklist, they will start complaining, whining that the security will be compromised. Such noises happen all the time.

You'd have to wait for an autoloader for 10.3.2, I believe. Something that's not blacklisted but can be loaded on a wiped phone.
    Thurask,
I don't know if this was already asked, but, what if I did blitz and then autoloader, do I can still go back to 10.3.1?

Im happy with this BETA, people who have installed this and want to downgrade are chronic flashers they need to go back and forth between OSs. (like in a post mentioned earlier)
